I'm looking for a good pediatric dentist in the DFW area. Its time that I take my almost 2 year old for his first dentist visit. I'd prefer the North Dallas as I live in Carrollton, but I wouldn't mind driving for a great one that accepts CHIP. Thanks!! :)

Try All American Smile Centers. They are Pediatric and take CHIP. They have 2 locations in Carrollton. 1103 South Josey Lane, ###-###-#### or 3065 North Josey Lane #60, ###-###-####. The staff is very sweet and they have a nice play area for the kids. There is also Smile Magic off of I35E and like Business 121 where the old Tias Restaurant used to be in Lewisville. They even have buses to pick up patients. Best wishes and God bless!

I'm pretty sure my dentist recommended not seeing my youngest until he was at least 3. You may call your dentist to see when they first see children or call any pediatric dentist to see when they like to first see children. I think my oldest were around 3, seems like they just count the teeth, look for signs of trouble and that's it. They don't even really clean them at that age. They just try to get them used to the visit.

Sorry, I can't give you a name. I do know that each dentist that accepts CHIPS ususally has a limited number of spots and you will have to get on a waiting list probally. I would get on them all and see which one calls first. Our dentist gave every other Thursday morning for Chips clients. Also, be NICE to the workers. I was shocked at how nasty and demanding some moms were trying to force their way in for an appointment on their schedule, around sports, and so forth. They did NOT accomodted and I bet they are still waiting. The dentist makes no money and sometimes takes a loss with chips and medicaid so of course they have to limit the number of patients they accept.
