I have just recently moved up to Ogden. I need to find a pediatrician for my daughter. I used to live up in this area, and I went to Dr. Catherine Stokes and I loved her and wish I could go back to her but my insurance change while I was living in Salt Lake and had to change doctors. I don't know any other doctors, so I need some recommendations. Thanks in advance! She will be two in a couple of months and I want to get on it.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

After much research and your comments I decided to go with Catherine Cook. Thank you for all your help, I appreciated it very much. I had a lot of facts and figures but you guys gave me your opinions and that helped.

We live in South Ogden, but our pediatrician is just a five minute drive into Roy. Dr. Allred at Roy Family Medicine is incredible! He's very easygoing, with a gentle, confident manner that immediately sets my son at ease. He loves to answer our question and is always giving us supplemental material, website and book recommendations to help us out with sleep, feeding and behavioral problems. He has 10 kids of his own, so he happens to know what he's talking about! I always schedule appointments 2-3 weeks in advance as he can book up fast, but it's rare that we ever have to wait more than 15 minutes to get in when we arrive. We've chosen an alternative path for our son's health and he's uncircumcised and we're very conservative about vaccinations and medications. Dr. Allred has been very supportive of this and while he gives us his honest opinion, even when we don't agree he never pushes us. I'd highly recommend him- I wish he could be my doctor!

I am a new mom and I go to Dr. Boehm at the Ogden Clinic. She has been practicing for a long time and so far I like her. I have heard lots of good things about her as well.

My son is only 5 months old, but we also take our son to Dr. Allred in Roy. He is fantastic. He never rushes you through an appointment, and we've never been taken in later than 15 minutes after our appointment time. The nurses there are also wonderful. Also, if you have questions, regardless of how minor, you can call and they are always very helpful - if they don't answer the phone, they almost always get back to you same day. He was recommended to us by my OB/GYN and by several of our friends. I haven't heard a bad thing about him.

My youngest boys (22mo and 6yrs old) go to Dr Catherine Cook at the Ogden Clinic on 4650 Harrison Blvd. I adore her and so do my kids. Her office staff is great as well. I can call there any time and get an honest answer.
My oldest goes to Dr Allred (from the Roy Ogden Clinic). He really likes him. I've also heard great things from some of the mom's at the book club I go to.

Another voice for Dr. Catherine Cook. She is really great. She really listens to parents and takes seriously their opinions. She is calming when you are worried, and takes action when it is necessary.
