I am looking for a good, caring and efficient pediatrician in Sugar Land - We used to go to Dr. Knoebel at Pediatric Center and the service there was terrible and took hour or more to get seen - I have had it and I need a new pedi. ASAP. Any suggestions?
I have used Dr. Raymong Kahn for over 20 years - He is located off of Hwy 6 and 1092. All of his assocaites are great so I don't think you can go wrong. Their number is 281 - 499 - 6300. Good luck!
We use Dr. Jean Bryant at Grand Parkway Pediatrics. I had to take my daughter in there yesterday and we were in the back office within 5 minutes of our appointment time and Dr. Bryant saw us a short time later. We were concerned about some severe headaches my DD has had recently and she spent a long time with us going over what had occurred and possible reasons. She's got a great bedside manner with the kids. My whole family uses her!
I agree with Elizabeth B. My daughter's Dr is Atlas in practice with Gmoser, and Khan. We switched from another Dr., who wasn't even concerned enough to learn about a metabolic disorder my daughter has, even though she saw him for almost 2 years. At one point she had a rash and when i questioned whether this could be from the MD he said "oh, I wouldn't know about that". Dr. Atlas researched the disorder before our first visit and is totally "in the loop" with other dr's that treat my daughter. We have had occasion to see the other Dr's there and all are great. The office staff is wonderful!

I have four boys ages 9 months, 2 yrs, 7 yrs, and 10 yrs. The 7 yr old is asthmatic and has episodes every no and then. We went to visit Dr. Ahmed on afternoon because my son was having difficulty breathing and she had me take my son to get a x ray at the hospital. She called me at 9pm that night just to check up on my son. That really touched me as it showed me that she really cares for her patients. The office gets me in that same day if I need and I always receive a call back from the Dr. whenever I have a question. Whenever I go for a checkup for one son she always ask how my other kids are doing. She also supports breastfeeding which was very important to me. Good Luck and tell her the Slater family says hi.
Dr. Hahn Nguyen at www.tykestoteens.net is fabulous! Her brother was my obgyn and referred me to her. She is very nice and great with smaller children. She saw my newest baby from the time he was in the hospital on.
Although not in Sugar Land, Dr. Kahn in Missouri City (on Hwy 6) is wonderful. We have been going to his office for over 2 years and couldn't be happier. I like that he is very knowlegeable and has a great "bedside manner." My dd did not like her last pediatrician and would cry the moment he walked in the door. Now she says with a smile, "That's my doctor!" when she sees Dr. Kahn!

We use Dr. Ho (Dr. Black when Dr. Ho is out) at Texas Children's Pediatrics (SW Frwy between Williams Trace and HWY 6). We think this is a great group. The doctor's listen and are available. We've been able to get in when our son is sick. They also had the H1N1 the first week it was available.
I believe there are 5 or 6 doctors in the group and we've been pleased with the 3 we've seen. I would suggest not scheduling Monday appointments.
