We have gone to Dr. Guetershloh for over 3 years now. Love him! He is a great doctor. Very low wait time. Very patient and kind. Great with both my son and daughter. Always listens to my concerns. Really like him.Good luck!
We have heard wonderful things about Dr. Berkowitz, Dr. Webb and Dr. Guetersloh and are having a hard time deciding. Can you please share your opinions on all three of these doctors? Both good and bad would be appreciated as we try to make our decision for our first child to be born this spring. This is very nerve wrecking decision for me and I want to make sure we choose the right dr. Thank you in advance!!!

I've been using Dr. Guetersloh for almost 4yrs now...since my oldest was born and now I have three kiddo's...an almost 4yr old, two yrs, and 7months. Dr. G is great and has excellent bedside manners. If your child is ever sick and he's not there then you will end up seeing a different doctor on that day...you won't be disappointed! Between three kids passing illnesses back and forth to one another I've managed to see all the doctors, and I love them all! Dr. G is only taking newborns so it's a great opportunity to get into a fantastic practice.
Dr. Guetersloh is as good a man as I've ever met. His practice is filled with loving, caring assistants. I am grateful DAILY that we chose him as our pediatrician seven years ago. I simply cannot say enough good things about Centennial Pediatrics.
Dr Guetersloh I know and is really great. My kids see a different DR at Centennial Pedatrics Dr Newton who is awesome! He plays with the kids to help them get comfortable and he stays until all questions are answered. My kids have seen him now for over 9 years.
Dr. G is in the practice that our pedi is in (Dr. nail). All of these men are wonderful and were all cheif residents at Children's. I am surprised that you are even able to consider Dr. G as the practice hasn't been accepting new patients for a while! But if they have opened up, go for these guys!
We adore Dr. Berkowitz! Which I really shouldn't admit, because he is very popular :) Even if he is booked and have to see another doctor in his practice, we have always been treated great and they will answer any questions. I've had to call his nurse for questions and she will call my back within an hour (at the most). Sometimes the wait is long, I'll admit, but it's worth it for good care, in my opinion.
I absolutely love Dr. Berkowitz! When I was pregnant with my daughter (who is now 6) I visited several pediatricians for a pre-delivery interview. After meeting Dr. B I didn't meet with anyone else. My daughter has been his patient since the day she was born. He is great with the kids, and as a parent you will love how he really takes the time to talk to you, explain things you might not be sure of, and will never make you feel like you are being rushed. In addition, the other doctors, nurses and all the office staff are fabulous! We have seen one of the other doctors in the practice when Dr. B was not available. The one negative is that it can sometimes be difficult to get in for routine well-kid checkups (just schedule in advance and don't wait until the last minute like I used to do!).
We just had a baby in December and we "interviewed" Dr. G before we decided to have him as our pediatrician. We like him a lot. Not too aggressive, yet aggressive enough. I've worked with pediatricians in the past, and they can tend to be very conservative. I feel Dr. G has the right balance of action. He does a great job of listening to this first time mommy!
Another very important thing to consider is nursing staff/hotline. Whenever I've called in with questions (quite a few at first) I felt that the nurse I spoke with was wonderful. Very attentive, heard me out, had great recommendations, educated and she escalated any of my lingering concerns on to Dr. G. I felt very confident in their advice and information.
The only complaint I'd have is that they don't have a lactation nurse. That would have been icing on the cake. Good luck with your decision!
We are pts of Dr Berkowitz (in Plano, right?) and have been since 2004 when moving to Texas. We really like him. I have no complaints about wait time or office staff. They are connected to an urgent care clinic that is wonderful too. The other doctors in his office are great as well, as we have seen them on occasion. My one complaint is I often feel as if he may bit a passive.
My son had sever asthma and instead of treating him aggressively he tried passive methods and attempted to learn his triggers, which we had already done with our previous pediatrician. But now we are back on track and things are wonderful. I recommend him but I also dont know the other doctors you mentioned.
We LOVE Dr. Berkowitz. He takes the time to ask you questions about your child's development and really cares about the well being of the kiddos. His nurses call you back really quickly after leaving a message, and everyone there is SO nice. Dr.B. has been seeing my son since he was born and we couldn't be happier with the care he provides!
