Thanks for posting your original post - it reminded me to ask this! :)

My 15 year old LOVES to have the small Christmas lights in her room all year round. They run along her walls, around her mirror, etc. She has some white, some multi, and now she's requesting just red ones. I cannot find red only. I have found green, multi, white and blue.. but no red. I've looked at WalMart, Kmart, Walgreens and Fred Meyer's. Anyone else have any suggestions as to where to go?

TIA!

L.

So What Happened?

hahaha, Felinestroller W.!! I know. I told her that and we had a good laugh about it, but she still would love some! hahaha

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. If anyone else has any thoughts, let me know. I'm not an Internet shopper usually, though.

Well...NOT to put a damper on your request (and perhaps this dates me), BUT I would be reluctant to put 'red' lights in a window of a young girl!!

lol

In some places in the world, there is a 'red light' district...and it means a 'different' kind of fun.

Good luck in your search though!

Merry merry!

I bought a GORGEOUS string of purple lights from Target. I'm sure they also have red.

If you don't find them this time of year wait until the Valentine stuff starts to hit the shelves. I have found red/pink combos and just red. Though I did find red ones at Dollar General a couple years ago.

I use light strings all over my house year round. I wrap them around flower swags and garland. They make great nightlights and provide ambient lighting so none of my rooms are ever completely dark.

FYI
The 'red light' district got it's name because railroad conductors would hang their light outside the 'house' they were visiting. It made them easier to find if they were needed.

Look around February instead of now, or look for shaped ones at a party store.

Do you have a Michael's, Hobby Lobby, Garden Ridge? Home Depot and Lowes could be an option as well.
