Hi Marni,

I am in CL as well and am part of a great moms group in the area called Mom-2-Mom. We offer playgroups for all ages and a babysitting co-op too. Each month we have planned kids parties and activities as well as mom only events like bunco, book club, scrapbooking and moms night out. Not to forget dads we have poker nights and couples night out. During the summer we have a park day each week so the kids can burn off some energy. I would suggest going to http://www.meetup.com/. It is an online resource for meetups that you can customize to your area and interests. I know for a fact that there are many playgroups in the Crystal Lake area that I have seen on that website so you can pick and choose. Check it out and good luck!
