I am looking for a great school or program for my son who is 2 1/2 years old. I just recently moved to the concord area, and just don't know where to start to find a nice quality school. With loving staff who really are great and loving toward the children. If anyone knows of such a school please help.... Thank you so much

My so goes to Bright Stars Learning Center in Concord. It is on Clayton Road right near the Concord Bart station. He has been there for almost a year (started at 27 months) and the teachers and director have been great. Their number is ###-###-####. You can email me directly if you have any specific questions.

I am the mother to three kids, one of which is 3.5 years old. My daughter attends Stratford School in San Francisco. I absolutely LOVE the school. She started preschool in August, and I was the one parent crying on her first day. Her teacher had to comfort me. I mention this because I know the dilema in finding a school that provides nurturing to students and provides a strong academic base. Stratfors School, however is such a place. I highly recommend this school and I know that they have sites throughout the Bay Area. Good luck!
My daughter went to The Montessori School of Concord at the age of 3. It is on Willow Pass Road near Farm Bureau Road. We loved that school. I believe they take ages 2-6. If you're not familiar with the Montessori method, you should research it first to see if this method is best for your child. The director and teachers are very nurturing. It is a small school with about 4 classrooms and about 12-15 children per classroom. I think they have a great program and have loving teachers who really care about the children and their education. They do offer full-time and part-time care.
