Hey guys,

So, being big is never fun finding clothes, but finding plus size nursing bras has been even harder!!!!

I have found my size of 42DDD at Motherhood Maternity, but they do not support well. Oh, and Lane Bryant has some on their website, but bras is just something that I like to try on before I buy. Does anybody else know where to find good support for this big chest?!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks everyone! So, Special Additions was were I went and yes it is great!!! Anything for your maternity or nursing needs under one roof! They will have your nursing bra no matter the size, the owner even will do custom adjustments if needed. I just wish I had gone there before I had bought my others.

Just in case nobody else has suggested these: Petticoat Fair (off Anderson/MopAc) and Special Addition (Lamar and 35th). Both specialize in larger and hard to find bras, but special addition is also one of the best breastfeeding information and supply stores in the area. Both have very knowledgeable staff.

There is a Lane Bryant store in Georgetown at 29 and 35 that you could try them on at. Since having my son I am a 38 DDD and I absolutely love Lane Bryant bras, I actually purchase the Cacique brand. They are very comfortable, very supporting, and honestly sexy. I didn't think I would ever find nice bras again, but they are incredible there. The properly fit you, and then advise on style of bra for you. I know you are nursing so you are limited on style and stuff, but also for post nursing.

Hi, J. - I know you said that you like to try before you buy, but there is a great website http://www.breakoutbras.com that I used for my nursing bras. I especially liked the Bravado bras. Otherwise, have you been to Special Addition on Lamar? They have a great inventory of nursing bras, as well! Good luck!

Special Addition on N Lamar - I was never plus size in the chest until I had the baby and then I needed a SERIOUSLY supportive bra. They measure and fit you. I think I needed a 34G and they had plenty in stock, lots of options and colors. Good luck!

There is a store in dowtown Austin called Special Addition on Lamar. I had to find a 34 G. I went all over before my pediatrician recommended this place. They have everthing!! And if they don't have it they'll find it for you.

Yes, try Petticoat Fair....near Northcross mall. They aren't cheap but they will fit you really well. I was the same size...getting smaller now, but they are WONDERFUL. Be ready to pay between 50-75 for 1 bra though!!
Good luck!! Enjoy those kiddos!

I loved the ones that I used when I was nursing. I got them from JC Penny - I think I bought them online though. They didn't have an underwire - which was nice because you wear them at night too and that underwire is a big ol pain! They were comfy and supportive. I couldn't tell you the name of the bra though - just that I got them from JC Penny. Good luck! :)

Try Dillards. They have a bra they will custom fit for you and it is very supportive. Several of my friends swear by them.

I understand how hard it is to find plus size maternity anything. I would suggest that you see if the Lane Bryant store has one that is simalar in style and try it on. I have heard nothing but good reviews on their bras. Then you can always return the bras if you don't like them, the store may even be able to exchange them for you. Other than that I don't know. I wish you bext of luck in finding that perfect fit.
