I don't know if you have a Nordstrom where you live, but I went there to be fitted and they were awesome (I'm a 36 DD). They had great bras, too. Expensive, but worth it .
Hi moms. I am in dire need of new bras and am dreading going shopping for them. I am a DDD and it's just about impossible to find something that's comfortable and cute. What bras do you recommend? I would love tol be able to walk into a store and try them on before I buy but I have the feeling that I'm going to have more options buy looking online. Please help! Thanks in advance!

I'm a G cup for most stores and here's what I've found.
Lane Bryant is good unless you have a band size less than 38 (I think they might have them in 36 now too). Which is a problem I had when I weighed a LOT less than I do now LOL The main problem I have with Lane Bryant is almost ALL of their bras are the shaped foam ones ... not my favorite style.
Ashley Stewart ... you can order online if they don't have a store near you. I LOVE THESE BRAS. They run a little larger in the cup so with them I can wear a DDD instead of a G. They are the foam cups too but they are styled different and fit better (I think) than other foam ones I've tried. Plus they have this awesome strap design. It's actually two straps. I can do cartwheels in these bras and my boobs don't move. They run about $25 and their selection is still kind of limited but they do have some cute ones. Or at least cuter than white, nude and black LOL
Frederick's of Hollywood. They have some super cute bra's that go up to a 42 F (which many times is equivalent to a DDD). Their prices are around the $25 range (give or take and depending on sales). They have a pretty large selection. The downside to Frederick's bras is the straps. Even on their "plus" size editions the straps are thin and tend to dig into the shoulders. Lane Bryant and Ashley Stewart both have wider straps which help with the shoulder grooves.
JC Penny's and Sears. I've had some success finding bra's in my size there. Although cute doesn't even come close to a description for style. They are however supportive bra's. Looks wise they should never be seen by anyone you want to have sex with LOL I don't even want to have sex with me when I'm wearing one of those bras LOL
Hope that helps and good luck with the bra search. It sucks to have boobs sometimes
While we're on this subject I don't have an answer for you but would like to say that it drives me crazy that I see shirts I love in the store and they go up to an XL. Then I go over to the 1x's and the designs are different. Why can't someone a size bigger wear the same thing?? Why do the clothes get uglier after XL? It's not an age difference it's a size difference. I asked at Aeropostle why everything is so tiny and they said they did a survey on what age wore the clothes and made them those sizes. I thought it was strange that all the people that age were tiny. I told her I would shop there if they had bigger sizes but they don't offer them so I'm disappointed when I go in to their store.(I shop there with friends). They are small but my age and they shop there all the time.
I have a large chest too and I only wear Bali bras. I have repeatedly tried other brands and nothing ever feels as comfortable as Bali. You can find them at lots of department stores (JC Penney, Kohl's, Macy's, Belk, etc.). If you decide to try Bali, make sure you try one of their Comfort-U designed bras - they are so much more comfortable.
This is the most comfortable bra I own: http://balicompany.com/detail.asp?cat=1&col=28&st...
Im a 38 e....but i find i can fit into the dd range, i find cute ones at victorias secret semi annual sales.
Im totally going to try the fredricks of hollywood idea, if they truly do have big bras like that im sure to have a better selection there than victorias secret, which is mostly for the itty bitty tittys
G.,
Dilliards and Belk also have nice selections, they are a bit $, but, worth it. They usually have someone in that Dept to assist and fit you. Penny's has also been great for me in the past. Happy hunting !

before my breast reduction i was a 40DDD. I liked the Wacoal by macy's. It has a bit wider straps so more support without cutting into u. Try the racer back one with underwire.
Before I had kids, I had these enormous boobs on my tiny frame (almost got a reduction, glad I didn't now because after 3 kids they're GONE) but I found a store that specialized in mastectomy bras. I know that sounds weird, but since all women have 2 different sized breasts, they have special fits for large chests so you don't end up with that one boob spilling out the top of the bra. They were a little pricier, but DEFINATELY worth the money!! I had 3... white, nude, and black... and they lasted forever. Try to find a specialty store that can fit you... they also help keep the ladies up to take away the back, neck, and shoulder pain :)
As a naturally large chested woman, (Christina Hendricks type at 38DD), I was frustrated about being shunned by Victoria's Secret salespeople because I wanted support, not bigger boobs, yet I wanted something sexy, not grandma-like. I decided to give Macys a try and the salesgirls were very professional and helped measure me, rather than turning me away like those jealous VS girls who claimed not to carry bras big enough for "my type". I was introduced to the Paramour brand and fell in love. They have other brands for full chested women but these not only were on sale
and provided good lift and support, but they were also supersexy. They
have everything from lacy designs to leopard print bras. Most have a matching panty set if you want everything to match but I'd rather get
panties cheaper elsewhere and make my own matching set. These bras
will make you feel like the sexiest woman alive! I also found that
surprisingly, Walmart has a Bare Necessities line for us too. They are cute
although not as sassy as the Paramour brand, so this is another option if
you're on a budget or don't want to look like a lingerie model ;)
One of my friends was telling me about http://www.bravissimo.com/. They have sizes that work for people who are small with large chests. I've never ordered anything from there, but I plan on checking it out too!
Right now I get my bras from Lane Bryant.
Have you tried going to a specialty store? Up here in MA we have a place called Intimacy but I think it is a chain. They fit you for the perfect fit. They are a bit pricey but if you got one and then knew the correct size to get it would help. I am very large chested as well and have a hard time finding the cute bras. Good luck!
If you're like me, with DDD but not a *plus* size band size, Lane Bryant, etc won't be the place to go. I think their band sizes only start at 40-42ish...
I've had luck finding DDD in stock at Penney and Kohls--as for cute? They are OK, but get the job done! Just got a flyer from Kohls guaranteeing certain brands/styles to be *in stock* or they're free. (Or they can ship to your store within 5 days.) Helpful if you want duplicates of O. you can try on but it's the only O. on the rack in your size.
You could also try Lane Bryant.
My favorite places to get bras are online, www.figleaves.com and www.breakoutbras.com. Both have entire sections of larger cup bras, and breakout bras has some really good sizing tips and photos of how the bra should and shouldn't fit. I usually order a few that I think might work and return anything that doesn't fit, I've never had a problem doing that and the shipping charges from both places are really reasonable. I also like being able to try them on at home where I can try them with lots of different tops to see how they work.
There are several companies in the UK that make really cute, really supportive bras in sizes way past what you can usually find here. It is especially hard if you have a smaller band size and larger cup. I'm a 36H. Freya, Fantasie and Panache are my favorites, they keep the girls where they should be and even my husband likes how they look. Sometimes, once I am sure of a particular size and style that works for me I can find brand new bras on eBay for less than what the stores charge.
Good luck!
I have always had a big chest and finding a bra that has a good fit & cute do not go together. Usually you have a choice cute or fits good/supportive. I have always had good luck at Kmart. Try Playtex bra's they are very comfortable and very supportive. I always found something from Playtex that would work and be my size. In the Playtex brand at Kmart they have a variety of sizes in the store and you can order them online. I was a large DD for a while and I do recall having seen DDD in this brand as well. They are not "cute" but they get the job done with no underwire. http://playtexfits.com/styles/18hour/detail.asp?style=4643

I was a 32 DDD for a while, until I was remeasured and am now a 32 G, so I understand the frustration very well. I'm not big, just big-busted. Three places that carry the DDD are Nordstrom, Soma Intimates (they only go up to DDD and stock in this size is very limited in the store, though) and BareNecessities.com. The BareNecessities website has a huge stock in a variety of styles and colors.
If you have a Nordstrom, you will definitely find some you can try on in your size. However, your best bet is likely to be going online.
i always buy my bras at Lane Bryant. i love them. but htey only make certain sizes. they start at 36B all the way up to sizes i don't even want to comprehend in my mind, lol. you never say the band size, but if its around a 38 i would look there. i wear a 44DD and its the only place that i have found that has amazing bras. they are expensive but they will often have sales, like bogo or buy one get one half off. they also have cute panties. :) if you find a bra you love, please share what it was. (i'm in the market for some new ones and am willing to try something different).
