Plus Size Fashion Question

So either my butt is abnormally large (for a plus size woman), or plus size designers do NOT give enough length to their above-knee skirts/dresses. Has anyone else noticed this? I'll have a perfect fit in the front, and then turn around and have to worry about giving the world a panty shot.

Is it just a bad design (the dress, not my arse)?
If it is the design--anyone know of a designer that gives a more generous cut for those with some junk-in-the-trunk?

What can I do next?

I feel your pain.. and yes - it does look funny when someones skirt is so much shorter in the back than the front. Not sure how to fix that.... maybe elastic waist (thinking prairie style here) skirts that you can pull down a bit in back, roll up in front a bit??

My gripe is (itty bitty)cap sleeves on a 1X and 2X t-shirt. I mean REALLY... if you're in the X's... you're a big girl and who the heck wants their upper arm cut in half at the fattest point?!!! Who makes this stuff????

I can't even find a decent (to just above the elbow) t-shirt in places like Talbot's woman. If anyone knows of a good V neck t-shirt style that covers the upper arms PLEASE let me know!!

They seriously design dresses for specific averages. Your backside is apparently larger than their average. My ex's sisters had this issue, I suppose my ex would have as well if he wore dresses :p, they would have the skirts altered so that they were the same length all around.

Oh, I also have to do this for my daughter, she got daddies butt.

Hum, above the knee could be problematic. Could you buy knee length and have it altered?

I think you just have to try everything on because nothing seems to be consistant.

I always feel a breeze back there! Black designers, give extra booty room but sometimes the styles are too bright and bold for me.

have to go with Lane Bryant or Dress Barn. Their clothes fit really well for the most part. Although I happen to love Just my size jeans best.

I'm pretty sure Sir Mix a lot wrote baby got back about my backside LOL

All clothes are made for a magical "average". I have no idea where these "average" woman are. I have the same type issue with shirts. They always ride insanely high in the front vs the back because I have breasts. "Average" is a B cup..I am a DD(E) but the rest of me isn't nearly as big.
Torrid has clothes cut a lot more realistically. I also concur with Lane Bryant.
