hello i am 10 days late for my period i have never been but one or two days late and thats rarley. I took at hpt when i was five days late and it was negative i took one when i was 9 days late stil negative i went to a pregnancy resource center today hoping they could do it by blood and they just gave me the same test i was doing and that was negative. so now i am going to get a blood test done tommmrow and i will be 11 days late. is the blood test to soon. i am not stressed or anything i just want to know why i am getting all these negatives? please let me no any advice
This happened to me when we were trying to have baby #2. I think stress and expectations led to this outcome. Two month later it was all good. Relax and take a breath, I know it sounds easy but it was really hard and I was so sad. Twenty- seven years later I can smile. Bodies are complex and there is no simple answer. It is possible that you aren't pregnant. I was told once by a doctor that up to 2 weeks late is considered normal.
I just found out I am pregnant at 5 1/2 weeks with a blood test. They are super sensitive.

I had lots of fertility issues, so if I was ever late, it was a huge deal. I had a blood test done at 9 days late cuz I couldn't take the suspense & all urine tests were negative. I couldn't get a preg test to show positive until morning of day 14!! I had a miscarriage prior to this one & so I was worried, but all was well. Best of luck to you.
No, blood tests show pregnancy sooner than urine tests....
I missed my periods because of PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome)....
A urine test (done right) at 9 days late should show a pregnancy for sure....
One possibility could be that you just had an off cycle and you ovulated later than normal....which would make your period late and EPTs negative...

To get the best results with a urine test you should do the first morning urine - it has the highest concentration of HCG which is what the test is looking for. If you have been doing them with the first morning urine already the blood test is definitely more sensitive and will give you a conclusive answer.
