I have found that "Potty Training for Dummies" has helped me and my daughter likes "Once Upon a Potty" as well as "The Potty Book for Girls." The other day I was reading it to her and she got up off my lap and said she wanted to go potty! Hope this helps and good luck! L.

There's a movie called Elmo Potty Time. My daughter loves it. We also got a book by Karen Katz I think it's called Potty time or something potty. Just look up her name, it 's the only potty book she has.
Good luck!

My 4th child who is 3 years old just potty trained this week. I can tell you from 4 kids of experience, my first who was a girl showed interest early and I did the books etc. I also got her a doll that also peed on its own little potty after you fed her water and she loved that. She trained, but since she was so young, she had to go to the bathroom often until her bladder grew bigger. By the second, he was older and at 2 1/2 I was concerned and had 2 stressful weeks to potty train him. The third, also a boy, I was determined to wait until he was ready, but by 3, I thought I needed to step in, he was scared to go number 2 and I had such a hard time for a month with him. I learned and with this last one, I did not say anything and completly waited and she decided she wanted to wear underwear and go on the potty and she trained herself. I used to tell everyone, potty training is the most stressful thing I had to do as a parent of a young child, now I realize the answer is to wait until the child is really ready to do it by themselves and they will. I hope this helps.

Unlike the other responses, I can't tell you the name of the book I read, since I have passed it along to others. After saying that I can tell you the few steps that I took to potty train my 2yr old son in two days. You have to basically stay home for a duration of 2-4 days until your child is able to get the hang of it. The book said that you can't use any pull-ups, just go with the underwear. Let you child pick them out. You will need a few dozen since you will go through them fast the first few days. Basically you have to let the child pee on themselves. They have to get the notion that it is not good to pee on themselves. You have to take the child to the washroom every 30 minutes even if they don't go. You need to buy a timer if you don't have one (most stoves have one thought) b/c time will go fast. You also have to give them lots of liquids to help the process. If you child is into reward charts you can use that and give stickers for every suseccful trip to the washroom. My son did not like the stickers on the chart, he liked to put them on the potty, so that is what we did. What ever works for you and them. The idea is that eventually the body starts to remember to control the urine and so does the child. You have to exercise the muscle. You are going to have a few accident, but that is expected. The book also said to definetly not use the pull-ups even at night or when you are out. That is why you may not be able to out for a few day. I remember the title but not the author.."How to potty train in 3-days". It worked for us, my son got it in 2 days and a friend was able to potty train her son in 3 days.

Good luck!

We used Alona Frankel's 'Once Upon a Potty' for girls. My daughter loved her potty book and wanted it read to her every day. Like your daughter she expressed interest in going to the potty early. She really loved this book.

Good luck!
