First Presbyterian Preschool has been around for 40 years for a reason - it's WONDERFUL. Parents drive from as far as Dallas to bring their children.

my kids go to Keller Music & Dance Fine Arts Preschool, they LOVE it ask me to go even on weekends and i just signed them up to stay in the afternoons as well and they don't want to leave when i come to pick them up (even if they are the last kids!!) they are very affordable and worked with me when i had some problems paying one month due to some credit card fraud because they knew i was good for the money and talked to them about it. They even offer a free Evaluation day so you can try it out your Daughter can stay for a morning with them for FREE to see if it's a good fit!! here is their website i know i spoke to the owner today and they working on redoing the whole website but it gives you the info you need!!

The Spanish Schoolhouse on north Green Oaks Blvd. is excellent. The teachers are wonderful, the facility is always clean, and the class sizes are small. The 4-yr-olds work on letters and beginning reading, social skills and awareness, as well as lots of fun art and science projects. And they're being exposed to the Spanish language at the same time. My daughter loves the school and her teachers and friends there.

Hi, E.!
If you're interested in having your child learn early literacy skills, I tutor preschoolers. I will come to your home for 2 sessions a week and spend an hour working with your child on phonemic awareness, alphabetic principle, concepts about print, writing, spelling, decoding strategies, and all other early literacy skills. I have 4 years experience teaching 2-5 year olds, and excellent references from parents whose children I have taught. I am an education student with a 4.0 GPA, and have received several academic awards. I love teaching reading, and use a variety of methods that engage little ones in learning. I charge $20 per hour, and tutor ages 2+ (school age too!). The children I have taught have gone on to kindergarten way ahead and have thrived. They all love reading. My goals are to instill a life-long love for books, and to fight the trend of children coming into kindergarten behind and never catching up. I also want school-agers to have the opportunity to get one-on-one help and help them fall in love with books. I live in Keller and typically don't drive far for tutoring, but go to school at UTA, so I might be able to come to you before my classes.

If you want well-rounded education that is also relatively inexpensive (and the feeling that you can't believe you're getting all this for what little you're paying) then you should check out CCC Academy. It's on the border between Ft. Worth and Arlington on John T. White Rd.

CCC stands for Children's College Campus and that's exactly what it is! The grounds are huge! The school is across the parking lot from it's sister Country Club! Kids learn to swim in the olympic outdoor pool during the summer months (and summer lasts a lot longer than just 3 months in TX!) and they learn tennis as well on the outdoor courts. They also have access to the indoor racquetball courts where they play wallyball and general free play with cushions and such. Anytime they can spend with the children outdoors they definitely try to do that. On nice days the children eat lunch outdoors. They also learn about gardening as well. Many of the plants you see on the grounds were planted by the school children. The kids are also active in dramatic arts. The school has won many awards in that field.

Mr. Rick Bowden (Mr. B to everybody) is GREAT!! He is the owner/principal and a real love for children and educating them. The Bowden family spends a great deal of time at the club and with the children as well, although 2 of the Bowden children are away now at the US Naval Academy. Mr. B is a delight and very willing to work with you and have you involved in your child's education as much as possible.

The school is VERY small but it's growing! That's great for student/teacher ratios! When my daughter went there, she had 5 kids in her class including her! Many of the children tested at 2 grade levels above their own so that tells you how committed they are to education.

Anyway, I could go on and on about this place. I absolutely loved it before I moved "across the pond". Here's the website: http://www.thecccacademy.com

Good luck!

I recommend Children's University off of I20 and Park Springs Blvd. Kids are way advanced after they go there (they teach a year ahead) and can test out of their grade (if you want to). They are not cheap, but they are worth it :)
They already started registration for fall. Check them out - you can schedule a tour.
