I wouldn't take it. You are on a very small dose, too. I wouldn't take it...especially reading the links to autism!

Is it a SSRI? There is a brand new study about SSRI's being linked to Autism.

Did you ob say it was safe? Was the ob aware of the new info?

i mean no disrespect to the mamas who have posted already....
please please please... talk to you OB and pyschiatrist, get second opinions if you need to. This site is amazing for questions for moms... but most of us are not medical people and personal beliefs can color the answers we give.
Print the articles the other mom's gave , read them and talk to your doctors about your concerns.
taking meds during pregnancy and while nursing is a benift /risk discussion that needs to be had... you are understandably worried about the baby but need to take care of you too...

Your Dr. has learned about the effects of many drugs from the drug reps. Yes they learn about drugs in med school;but when new drugs come on the market or new findings come out, it's the reps that come in and talk to the Dr.
As a childbirth education instructor, birth doula and having a Dr. as a parent, I can tell you to research this yourself. There are many websites that will give you good info.
You always run some risk when taking a med when pregnant. Only things that are safe or homeopathic remedies and flower remedies that are prepared in a homeopathic way.
Feel free to contact me if you want more info.

I have heard something on the radio about taking anti-depressants when pregnant and a lawsuit. I never really liked to take any medication when I was pregnant.

I was givin it to take while i was pregnant, but never did. My OB told me that the baby might have respritory problems when born from me taking it if i did.
I'm glad i didnt because baby had other probs and was in NICU for 2 weeks anyways.
