my son is 3 months old and does the same thing. At night now, i put him in a one size larger diaper and put a diaper insert inside. This helps absorb everything and keep his outfit dry. Good luck!!!!
I am happy with the Luv's brand we use during the day but my little man wakes up everynight because he has peed through his diaper and soaked his jammies. I change him right before I put him to sleep but that doesn't help. Any suggestions?
Ladies,
Thank you for all the wonderfull suggestions. I bought a size bigger in Huggies and it was a miracle, he slept comfortably ALL night long. I forgot what that was like :)

Luv's cannot hold a candle to the regular Huggies. Please do not try the Huggies Supreme (no good, streamlined but clothes are soaked with even the tiniest tinkle!!) My daughter tried all different name brands (even the cheap ones) for her kids, and Huggies are the best. Try them to see if they help. Also, my daughter limited the amount her kids had to drink prior to bedtime, that will help as well.
I had the same problem with my son when he was about a year old so now I use Huggies Overnites only at night time and he hasn't peed through those diapers one time yet.
Diaper Doublers. I used them 15 years ago with my daughter and they really keept her dry during the night.
i swear by Pampers. they are very, very absorbant.
Try Huggies Overnights. Good luck!
I use the Pampers Cruisers with my 14 m old boy. He wakes up nearly 11-12 hours later and is maybe just beginning to soak through his onesie to his jammie bottoms. I am not sure if they will work with your little guy, but it may be worth a try!!!
My daughter drinks a lot during the day...which is good b/c it can get quite warm here...anyways we use Huggies Nighttime diapers from walmart or Target. I am sure you can get them anywhere. I think in the last few months we've been using them we've only had like 2 accidents where she's leaked thru. If that doesn't help, it might be time to go up a size. Good Luck!
I have found that huggies work pretty good. I buy the regular ones they sale in the red box. They don't cost to much more than luvs. I use to use luvs myself and I had to change for that same reason. good luck

Hi C.,
Pampers Cruisers have worked well for us although I've tried the Huggies nighttime diapers, but found them too expensive. There aren't 100% because my daughter wets ALOT during the night, but most nights we are good. Could you change him before you go to bed wtihout waking him up? I've done that before as well when it was really bad. Good luck and get some sleep. J.
I have been using Huggies Overnite diapers for my fella since he started sleeping through the night.
We use the huggies nighttime diapers and they are awesome! We use pampers and huggies during the day, but at night, he was always peeing out as well and I switched to the huggies nighttime and he hasn't done it since.
I use Overnight Huggies for my son. Also, I try to give him his bedtime milk in a sippy cup a few hours before he goes down for the night. This way hopefully I can change a wet diaper before he goes to sleep and would prevent him from having soaked jammies in the morning.
Good luck to you....
Huggies "Snug and Dry" or "Supreme"(a bit pricier than Luvs and Pampers) are much more absorbent than Luvs and Pampers. Luvs brand was making my daughter break out in a tiny rash, in the same area, after a prolonged use. I purchase Huggies Snug and Dry in bulk at Costco. You get much more for your money there. You may have to change him half way through the night if necessary, and if you can get up from your much needed sleep. Hope this helps! Good luck and God bless!!
The only thing that comes to mind is to try using nighttime pull ups. they are made for bigger nighttime messes and my daughter has never leaked out of them. I'm not sure what the weight recommendation is for that smalles size but it might be worth a try. Hope this helps.
I swore by Huggies with my oldest. Regular during the day and OverNights at night. Worked wonders! Good luck!
I used to use pampers and once my now 15 month old was about 12 months he would wake up completely soaked.. no matter how many times i changed him during the night. I have since switched to huggies and I LOVE THEM! and i can get them in bulk at COSTCO Bonus! :) I highly recommend giving the Huggies a try :) Best of luck.
I have that problem now with my 6 month old son. I have used Luvs, Huggies, and other brands. Forward me the advice if you find something that works best for you. It can be quite frusterating.
Thanks
I used the Huggies brand Overnights with my two oldest once they started sleeping through the night. My littlest will be in them in the next few weeks (hopefully:)) They work great all through the night.
C., if you're looking to potty train, limit fluids after 7 pm at night or an hour before bedtime so that he won't go so much during the night. Also, having him sit on the potty before bedtime helps as well.
If you're just needing a better diaper, try using the next size up diaper. I use pampers diapers because my kids seem to not like huggies against their skin. My son soaks through his diaper if I give him too much fluids at night and he's 18 months old. I realized that the reason he wants so much to drink is that children like to have a full tummy when going to bed, so I give a piece of bread or crackers before bed so that they sleep all night. Hope this helps. Have fun.
When my daughter starts leaking through, I move up to the next size of diapers, regardless of the weight info on the package. For ex. we just moved up to the size 6 pampers. She weighs 24 lbs. and should be fine in a size 5, but started messing all the time. She hasn't had a problem since the move up.

We had the same issue until we tried huggies overnites. They sell them at Target. We only had a couple incidents since we started using them, which is soooo much better than everynight as it used to be. They work great!
Good Luck
We loved huggies overnights and then huggies nighttime pull-ups when they get a little older/bigger. I never used huggies during the day, but these are the best for overnight. Also, I found if my son still peed through, I would go up one size from his daytime diaper and that really fixed the problem, so he could sleep all night!! Good luck!!
Hello! I have a 2 1/2 year old boy and I had tried everthing that they was even the overnites and the only thing that I have found that he doesn't pee out of is the Food Lion brand in a purple box. He peed his bed full ever night until I bought these. These are the best diapers ever.
Hi C.- we had the same problem with LUV's for my daughter, and I switched to pampers baby-dry for night time- they absorb so much more and keep her much, much more comfortable and dry overnight. they are a little more expensive so i just use them at night, but it's made a big difference. also- check the size. sometimes a slightly bigger size at night works better b/c it covers more area.
I had the same problem with my son, who is now 21 mos. I ended up reducing the drinks right before bed and changing his diaper on my way to bed several hours after I put him to sleep and we have had dry jammies ever since. My honey hasn't mastered keeping the baby asleep while changing the diaper but I think it's a stealthy mom thing.
Good luck!
PS We also use Pampers Cruisers all around and found that those are the only thing that helps last through the night.
Try Huggies Overnights, they start at size 4 and 5 but either of those should fit a 15 month old. They work really well. Or you can get Doublers which are about $4 a pack and look like big maxi pads that you stick in their regular diaper for extra absorbancy. I keep those on hand in case I run out of overnights but they don't work as good as the overnights.
They carry both of these at Babies R Us and Overnights are at Target too.
We had the same problem and found that putting the next size up on him overnight did the trick! Not a leak yet in 3 months!
I have a 4 1/2 month old and I put on two sizes bigger for the night because I had the same problem. Now he's dry and isn't waking up soaked! Good luck! T. White
I have found the disc. brands do not make it through the night. You might want to try Huggies or Pampers at night (find on sale) and still use your disc. brands during the day. I know some brands also make a night time diaper, I haven't used them, but they will probably work great too. I often find Huggies or Pampers on sale at the groc. store and then they give me addit. coupons at checkout. (Safeway!)

Hi C.,
I love to save money on diapers...so we use store brand during the day...and for naps and Nighttime sleeping we use Pampers Cruisers...They can really HOLD their own! best of luck! and wishing you dry nights!
They do make night time daipers, they are bigger fuller and are more absorbant, but still comfortable. I had to use these with my daughter for the same reason.
Hi C.--I had the same problem with both of my boys. Only they leaked out of all brands of diapers at night. The only thing that worked was to go up a size for night time. I also agree with the other e-mails about huggies and pampers. My guys leaked out of luvs even during the day so my first had to be in huggies and my second stays dry with pampers. Hope this helps...
C.,
My son did the same thing when he was younger. He's almost 3 now, but when he was around that age, I had to wash sheets daily because he'd soak through his diaper. What we were doing at the time was letting him bring his drink into bed with him, whether it be water, milk, or juice. When we stopped him from having drinks right before bed, he stopped peeing through his diaper. If you are not letting him have a lot to drink before bed, try to use bigger diapers for bedtime only. That was another thing we did at the time & it also helped tremedously. If he was wearing a 4 or 5 during the day, we'd give him a 6 to sleep in. Try that, it may help. Good luck & God bless!
I just go up a size for bedtime but if that dosen't work try thr huggies night time ones
My daughter soaked through every diaper at night except Pampers Night diapers. They worked great and we NEVER had an accident at night. She would sleep for up to 14 hours and never have a problem.
First let me say I only bought Luv's when I had a coupon for buy one get one free so I loaded up then. Huggies are what I normally buy, they are thicker and they hold more water, Pampers are ok too, but my son who is turning 16 mo.s on the 18th has a few leakage problems with them. Out of those I would suggest trying the Huggies, you will definitely see the difference.
Huggies overnites work great for us.
Try the Costco Kirkland brand. They are by far the most absorbent I have ever used including pampers or huggies.
Hi. I have a 14 mo old boy. He wears a size 4 Pampers Cruisers, but at night I have to put him in a size 5. The 4s leak, but the 5s keep him dry through the entire night. Maybe just going up a size at night would help.
White Cloud diapers from Walmart have always worked well at night for my son, better than many other brands I tried.
Doublers are the BEST!! (they are the size of a maxi pad, which could work too in a pinch). They were a tremoundous help with our son. They can be hard to find but I know Food Lion sells them w/ diapers, etc. Also, make sure to refrain from drinking after 6 or 7pm...that's what the dr. said. Good luck & hope for dry nights. S.
Babiesrus and Toysrus sells these inserts for Diapers called Diaper Doublers. They are $2.99 for 30. You just put them inside the diaper and it will hold more pee for a longer period of time. We use them when we have to be out running errands for a while during the day. It is worth the try.
My daughter is 14+ months old and sleeps with her butt in the air, causing everything to gather in the front. We found the pampers baby dry is the best thing for holding it all in. When we switched, she slept for 11 hours straight.
I also say try the size bigger in the brand you normally use before switching brands. The bigger size holds more. This worked for me and a friend of mine.
At night I use a diaper that is 1 size larger than my son's regular diapers and it works a lot better. We were having the same problem until I swtiched to the bigger size at night. Hope that helps!
Huggies used to have a "nighttime" diaper. That was about 6 years ago, when my second daughter needed them about 4 years ago, I couldn't find them. It may have just been where we live. Try to find them. They were wonderful!
I use Huggies Night Time for my 17th month old. They work great.
~L.
I've heard the Huggies Overnites are really good. I haven't used them but friends of mine have.
I would try using Huggies overnight diapers or the next size up from the diaper you are using now. A bigger size usually means more absorption. Good luck!
I agree with the other replies... going up a size at night may do the trick. I had the same problem with Luvs at nighttime. I stayed with the same diaper (since it is less expensive than other brands!) and did a few things differently and no leeks anymore! Other than going up a size, I tried to always make sure the ruffles of the diaper were out all the way around (if tucked under, they were bound to leak), and that his pee pee was pointed downward. If it was up, he would leak through the top of his diaper. Hope this helps!
The Huggies Overnites really worked for my son. They go up to a size 5. There are also other nite brands that you could try that will probably work and they might have bigger sizes.
Hi C.,
Had you thought about limiting the boys fluid intake after 7:00 p.m. or another time earlier if need be?
Just thought to ask. D.
Huggies has great overnight diapers in size 3, 4, and 5
Does he wiggle around during the night and cause the diaper to shift? It maybe time to move up to a pull up at night.
I used Pampers Cruisers during the day and Huggies Overnites at bedtime for both of my older boys who are now almost 5 and almost 3. I plan to use them with my 11 month old when the need arises. They're available in sizes 3, 4, and 5 and can be purchased at WalMart. I hope this helps. Good luck!
