My periods are getting really long Lasting 9 days or so.
I used to take ortho Tri Cyclin low for a long time and My periods would only last a couple of days.

I have considered getting on the following.

1. Depo Shot
2. Nuva Ring
3. The Pill

I won't be using the Mirena at this time. I want it does cost alot of money right now at this time.

I am wondering what It might be like not having a period on the Depo Shot.
Does anyone have experience with this? Im afraid of Hormonal issues or crazy bleeding with the shot.

Ive heard great things about the Nuva ring but the though tof digging to get something out of me each month sounds odd. I just don't know.....

My Main concern is being able to get pregnant again some day, I want another child and don't want birth control to be the reason as to why I can't get pregnant anymore. I have had few of my friends who were on birth control for years and now can't get pregnant at all.

Any adice is greatly appreciate!

What can I do next?

I use and prefer the Depo shot. I was on it while my husband was in the Air Force and then got off of it when we moved. My dr put me back on it after I had our daughter and I have been on it now since Oct 2006. I personally enjoy not having a period. The only issues I have are some spotting around the end of the shot. I also not enjoy not having cramps or any of the month emotional issues. Cost wise, I only pay my co-pay to go get the shot every 3 months.

i have the same question 4 months ago i think the pill works good my periods was usually 7 days now are 3 days and consider nuva ring i think is much easier just insert it and forget it for 3 weeks i did't do it because the cost is the double than the pills.

I was on Depo for about 8 years and just recently got off. I loved it... no period (except spotting every 3rd month when it was time for the shot again). I didn't gain any weight and really felt good on it. Now that I have been off for about 6 months I have gained a lot of weight and hate having a period. I just hope i get pregnant soon so I can get back on it :)

I love love love the ring! Except for being pregnant and while nursing, I have been on it for years and am back on it now. It's the easiest thing and you don't have to worry about it at all. I don't notice it up there, nor does my husband. ;) While I, too, thought that having to take it out every 3 weeks seemed odd, it's really not bad. You get use to it and it's not painful or anything like that. I have several friends that feel the same way. I have had no side effects with it, no weight gain, nothing. It has helped my skin, cramps, and my periods are fairly light and short. For me, it's a great option and it seems to agree with my body. I rely recommend it. Good luck!

I was on the same pill you use to be but I had major complications... So I got the Mirena... You said it is expensive? My insurance covered everything except the deductable. Have you asked your ins?
