My second 2 were c-sections. I wish my first would have been too, the VBAC screwed my body up. Think this is such a personal thing. I know for me, the c-sections are easier. But, for some people vaginals are so each that it's not an issue.

I have had both and my choice is VBAC, it is lower risk to you and your baby and much easier to recover from.

That being said you need a good supportive provider (I like Dr. Jason Johnson in SL) and a dose of patience. Call me if you want to talk about your options.... www.mothers-choice.com

VBAC unless your doctor counsels otherwise or if you have a gut feeling C-section is best for you. Good luck Emily!

I did two successful and fast VBAC's after a C-Section. Recovery was much quicker. Although with a planned C-section you tend to recover fairly quickly. The big thing for me was that I could drive once I felt well enough, compared to 6 weeks with a C-Section. If you have a good network of family and friends that are not busy with their own kids then that is possible, but I have no family here, makes a big difference.

It is a difficult decision to make and you can change your mind right up to the last minute. I'm sure you will get lots of advice. Good Luck, only you and your doctor will know what is best for you.

My first was a C-section and my second, now 3 months, was a VBAC. I would choose the VBAC most definitely. It was such an incredible experience plus I recovered so much more quickly. I wanted to actually experience labor and delivery and I am glad I did. With my C-section I was a bit out of it for awhile and the day is a bit foggy. It also took more time for me to recover.

My second and third babies were c-section. The only thing I would change would have been to have my first baby c-section too.

VBAC! Every delivery is different. The first is always the most difficult. My second and third were by far easier. Plus the recovery for a VB is much faster and easier than a C-section. Go with your instincts though, but be sure not to confuse them with fear. Good luck!

I have a 2-year old boy that I was induced for a vaginal birth and then after pushing for a long time had to have an emergency c-section. I am due with my second child in November. I am definitely planning a 2nd c-section rather than trying a VBAC with most likely the same results as before.

I went with a 2nd c-section and had a wonderful experience! The recovery was easier the second time and since I knew what to expect I was able to control the pain of the surgery better. Obviously everyone is different, and my chances of a successful VBAC were pretty low, but my two c-sections worked for me. :) good luck.
