Hello Mamas!
I am getting frustrated here!! I really need to shed 10-15 pounds and I'd love some advice from you mom's. I've been doing the South Beach Diet and changing my lifestyle of eating lots of pasta, sugars, and white breads and potatoes. I've been running and doing regular excercise approximately 4 days a week. However, this post-baby weight is so stubborn!! I lose three pounds, gain a couple back. I really feel that a weight loss assisting pill could help me dump these pounds before swimming season kicks in. Has anyone tried one and had a lot of success? I would love to hear which ones worked the best and which ones didn't really work at all. Like I said, I don't need to lose TOO much, and I am excercising and dieting. And, by the way, I am not breastfeeding. Thanks for the help!

Hi L.,

Before I had my 2nd daughter I was taking Hydroxycut. The dosing is pretty high. 2 or 3 pills 3x a day, so I eased into it. They made me feel alittle jittery at first, but I lost 7 lbs, in like a week and a half and I was just exercising but eating everything in sight, so along with dieting I'm sure it would be even better. They are alittle pricy but I intend to start using them again when my daughter quits nursing in about a month. Good luck and those lbs are so hard to get off!

Hi L.,

Girl, I know what you mean. I have 3 little girls and I struggle too with those last few pounds. I love Arbonne products - I am a little biased because it's also my business, but the weight management program is phenominal and pure, safe and beneficial. I have never been able to take any other diet pills - they really make me too jittery and I hate that feeling. But the Arbonne line is safe, all plant based, uses pea protein instead of soy or any other animal protein base, no artificial sweeteners and taste good. There's a supplement and a NEW fizzy tab that I swear is the best product we've ever introduced - it gives me energy without feeling crazy and curbs my appetite for over 3 hours - I'm not kidding. I would love to send you more info if you want it. Good luck on your quest! I know what it's like.

Have a great day,
M.

Hi L.. I wanted to let you know about a safe, highly effective, and all natural, Vegan weight loss system that I've used and love. It's called Arbonne Figure 8 Weight Loss Program. I've also had two boys, and needed to lose that extra baby weight.
I highly recommend this program (especially the supplements) as a method to effectively, healthfully and naturally lose weight. You don't really need to go on a diet per se, but it's more like adding these healthy elements to your everyday life.
It includes fiber and protein shakes, energy drinks, detox tea, weight loss chews which act as natural appetite suppressants and energy enhancers, and dietary supplements that suppress your appetite.
Arbonne also has a website designated specifically for those losing weight with this system. It's great because it allows you to communicate with others using the system. You can also get recipe ideas and success tips on the site. It's all available to you with the purchase of the system.
You can try it, and if for some reason you feel it isn't for you, Arbonne has a 45-day money back guarantee! If you're interested or would like to try some FREE samples before you buy, please feel free to contact me at: ____@____.com or ###-###-####. Or you can visit my website at: www.mandyolsen.myarbonne.com. Good luck finding something that works for you!

Sincerely,

I don't really have a recommendation, but a question for you. Are you over-training? I went through the same thing a few years ago. I was working out, eating right and getting no where.

After talking to a few people at the gym and my husband (a RN) about my frustration, I cut back on my workouts. I also saw results from my workouts.

Just a suggestion & good luck to you,
K.

Hi L.,

It sounds like you are doing what you can which is awesome!! I am in the same postion except I can't blame mine on baby weight (she is 3yrs old, lol). One thing that is full of vitamins and does help is One A Day Weight Smart Advanced which can be purchased at Wal-Mart. It helped me maintain my weight when I wasn't working out! When I started working out, oh my! I have lost 25 pounds in the last couple of months!

I like it too because it is not considered a diet pill. It is a vitamin that helps women with their weight!

Whatever you think you want to try I do encourage you to "google" it. It is amazing what info is out there on the internet. I bought a pill about a year ago from Wal-Mart (Lipozene) and started taking it. It did NOTHING!! I finally looked it up on the internet and discovered all kinds of info about it. Needless to say, I stopped taking it and haven't purchased anything else except the One A Day Weight Smart Advanced Vitamin!

Good luck!

I highly encourage you to look more into what you are eating rather than a pill. No matter how safe the pill is, it is messing with your natural body chemistry...and it is not teaching you how to understand and control your weight gain.

I have been doing a program called the 6 week body makeover and I highly recommend it. People lose tons of weight on it, but it also helps you to understand how your body works. You should have absolutely NO problem losing 15 pounds in 6 weeks (I lost 30 pounds in 8 weeks and I didn't do HALF the exercise you are doing!--I am now smaller than I have been my entire adult life and still losing)...and I guarantee if you follow the program you will lose at least 5 pounds in the first week alone....I lost 10, but I had a lot more to lose...

What I like about this program is it is not a gimmick--and I wouldn't call it a "diet" either, but rather a healthy eating program. You don't take a magic pill and lose the weight. It is eating healthy and exercising--exactly what you are doing...except you are not eating for YOUR specific body type. This program teaches you what your specific body type reacts to and then you know what to avoid to keep those pounds gone (btw...I eat potatoes 3 times a day...and average 1/2 pound weight loss every day). They also tell you the exercises you need to do to tone up the areas that you want to tone up. I like to equate it to a personal trainer, but much cheaper.

For the cost of what you would spend on one jar of "good" pills, you can learn how to manage your weight and eat healthy (and teach your kids how to eat healthy) for the rest of your life. Just look it up and see: www.bodymakeover.com
