I moved to Florida from Delaware about 2 months ago. I have been looking for a job for the last month and am struggling. My last position was a production sewer, but prior to that I was a CNA, and an office manager. I am looking to get back into clerical/adminitrative support or data entry. The problem I'm having is not having current experience. My skills are still as sharp as they were then but I am having difficulty finding a job. I have registered with 2 staffing agencies, Appleone and Corestaff, and have my resume' on Monster.com and have applied for dozens of positions through Monster as well as Craigslist, but as of yet, no luck. Does anyone have any ideas or know of anyone hiring? Please help, I'm running out of money and I'm tired of sitting at home.

What can I do next?

Hi J., I know you said you are already registered with 2 staffing agencies, but try the Tews Company. I have found they are by far more professional than the other agencies in the area and they will work very hard to get you into a position. I have done quite a few assignments with them on a temporary basis and I'm now placed in a temp to hire position which has been fantastic! They also seem to have some of the more higher paying administrative positions in the area too.

Their website is tewscompany.com and their phone number is ###-###-####. Good luck!

Hi. Check out UCF. It's a wonderful place to work and great benefits. Here is the website.
http://www.ucf.edu/jobs/vacancies/
If you have a degree, you can look at A&P positions, if no degree, check out "Staff" positions.
There are also part-time temporary positions (OPS) to get experience. You can always contact the Recruitment dept. within HR, they may be able to help guide you. Good luck!

Try UCF itself and see if they have anything. Try the shops at Waterford Lakes that's not too far from UCF.
Also, my neighbor just got a job at Starwood Vacation properties. You could also try Marriott Vacation properties as well.
Good luck

good luck this is Orlando where there's more qualified people then there are jobs, and when you do find a job the want to underpay you. Its a fact that this state pays wayless for the same skills as anyother state......again good luck
