I found a dot of yellow stain on my husband's white dress shirt. I tried to remove it with everything I could possibly think of. I used stain remover, clorax, and bleach pen. They didn't work at all! Can anyone help? Thanks a lot!!

What can I do next?

If it's rust, WHINK will work. Try soaking it in some hyrogen peroxide. It use it to whiten laundry and my teeth. Cheap, too!

If that doesn't work, I also use an enzyme based- not chemical based- product called IMMACU-10. You can only get this via a distributor or at a show or festival, flea market, etc. This elderly lady in KY developed this product, got a patent, but hasn't marketed it. IT'S FABULOUS!! I've been using it for years - windows, laundry, carpet, floors, cars......EVERYTHING...INCLUDING getting permanent black ink off a white sweatshirt! It's very inexpensive and lasts forever. Don't know where you are but if you are in the Indy area and want some, let me know. My friend works for this lady from KY.

GREAT if you have little ones and/or pets because you don't have to worry about the chemicals.

Zout stain remover. It removed any stain - i actually didn't fret if my daughters (or me) got a stain on something.... I knew i had Zout at home. By teh way, it took off year old sweat stains in the arm pits of a shirt. Extremely impressive stuff.

Maybe it's a greasy food stain. Rub some dish-washing liquid into it before putting it into the washer.

If it looks like a grease stain, Lestoil is amazing for getting them out. It has saved me so much money in saved work clothes! Just be prepared to rewash the load again with regular detergent to remove the smell of the Lestoil before drying the items.

I would use PreSpot, Mela Power, and Mela Brite. If those normal washing methods did not work I would use Sol-U-Mel full strength and let it soak for a while.

Shaklee's Nature Bright is the best thing I have found for tough stains. It is a safe and natural cleaner that really works wonders. I would highly recommend that:

They also make an organic soluable cleaner that you can combine with the nature bright called Basic H2. You could try using both and scrubbing it a bit with an old toothbrush. Both are safe and work so well!!

I was going to suggest the Shaklee products as well.

Just sprinkle some Nature Bright on along with a couple drops of Basic H2 then scrub with an old toothbrush and hot water. It should come right out but if not, you can let it soak for a little bit and try again.

The only things I haven't been able to get out using that combination of cleaners is Sharpie marker and old, dried nail polish.

Do you think it's a highlighter pen?

If so, look at this:

I'd try the rubbing alcohol.

Greased Lightning (found in the household cleaniong section...safe for laundry), or Yellow Out, made by the makers of Iron Out. If all else fails, rub a Mr. Clean magic eraser over it (use some elbow grease), you might be surprised! The Magic Eraser got dry erase marker out of my DD's comfortor when nothing else would!
