Reselling Nice Clothes

I am very picky when I buy my son's clothes. I prefer Gymboree and Gap since they look nice and hold up well. My son has grown out of his 6-12 month clothes and I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for reselling these nice clothes. I really don't want to mess with eBay and have been told that Once Upon a Child and Kid to Kid will not give you much for your clothes. Any suggestions???

What can I do next?

Once upon a child gives me more cash than kid to kid. I would try DFW Craig's list. It is on-line liek e-bay - but better. There are no listing fees and the ads are very easy to create. If I can do it - anyone can! I've sold/bought from there quite often :)

If you need the money, ebay is the way to go. If you don't, then I agree with TF, donating is the best.

Like you, I've always purchased good clothing. It is a shame because the resell stores do not give you anything.

We found that it is best for us to donate the good quality clothes to the local Women's shelter or Allen Community Outreach where it will truly be appreciated by someone. It is nice to think that we can help put a smile on a young girls face when she gets a practically new pair of Abercrombie jeans and top.

In turn, the tax benefit outweighs the price and time of reselling.

Good luck.

Hey T.,

Kid to Kid and OUAC don't give much $ compared to what you paid for the clothes.

Try www.craigslist.com
Post your ad and your prices! for free

I've had GREAT experience on there!

It's too late now to sell your items with Divine Consign for their fall sale but their next sale is in the spring. Also Just between Friends is another consignment sale held twice a year. DC's website is www.divineconsign.net. I'm not sure about the other one but I'm sure you could google it. I've sold with DC for several seasons and I am always very happy with how much I make and overall in how organized everything is. You can make up to 75% of your asking price on your items. (You set the price for each item.)

Hope this helps,
M.

Just between friends Sale or otherwise known as JBF Sale.
You can google to find the sale in you neighborhood and learn the details. Registration for the Denton and Mckinney sale just started. I believe you get 70% of your sale. Plus you get to shop before the public. And if you volunteer and consign you get to shop first. McKinney is a great sale as far as quality, Denton is fair. So the nicer the city the better the items. Check out all the locations that are near to you.

I have a five month old son so I'd be interested in buying your 6-12 month old clothes. What season are they?

Thanks! L.
