When I was skating competitively, everyone kept skating through their pregnancies. I think the main difference is; those who skate, and those who go skating. AKA how good you are at it.
I mean, people quit doing axels and lutzes, and the hockey types didn't play on a team anymore... just knocked the puck around... but everyone who did it every day, still kept skating every day. They just toned it down.
It would NOT be a good time to learn or 'get better'. If you already skate, though, have at. Just tone it down.
