Searching for Boots

So I don't know where to look for what I am wanting. I need snow boots in an adult women's size 9. The problem is that I am a plus sized woman and have fat calves. This is to a smaller extent a pain for finding socks. But I digress. The boots I'm looking for are the puffy quilted nylon type with a rubber sort of sole. Imagine a kids snow boot. I don't want fancy fashion, leather, zippers, buckles, ties etc. Just old fashioned pull on boots. I nanny for a family and we are getting ready to need snow apparel. My old ones are worn out. Used to be able to get these at Kmart, target, Wal-Mart etc. I can't find them anywhere. Does anyone have any ideas of where I could find some?

I have looked at both the sorel and the bog sites these are not at all what I'm looking for. But please keep the ideas coming.

What can I do next?

This is sort of what I'm looking for except quilted, puffy for playing in the snow.

Go to Dicks in Oswego. There is a boot that should be what you want by Sorel style is Glacy. They have black or taupe. My friend just got them there for $89. I don't know how to attach a link, but google it. They run small so you may need a 10 or 11.

You should be able to find Sorel's in any sporting good store.

Get a pair of Bogs. They are not puffy but easy on and off and keeps your feet toasty.

I tried a pair of bogs on recently. I thought my calves were average sized, maybe a little muscular, but the top edge was tight on my calf. If you have the budget ($50 - $100 IIRC), Kamik may be worth a look. Super warm and some are even assembled in the US.

Try Torrid. I have so many friends that swear by their boots.
LL Bean also carries great boots. They are a little pricy but they last for ages!

I googled this:

women's plus calves size snow boots

And got a lot of boots showing that lace up to fit. Fur lined, quilted, thick tops, etc....

These are all wonderful boots, expensive but gorgeous. My granddaughter loves the bright pink ones.

Here's at least 5 pages of plus size calf snow boots. The first couple are only about $50 and look very similar to the ones you showed.

These go up to size 11 and they have many sizes left.

DSW carries wide calf widths and has a pretty extensive boot selection online so they may have just what you're looking for. Could also try Cabela's, Land's End, or LL Bean.

Check out LL Bean. Their boots are super warm and have a lifetime warranty so when they wear out you can get them replaced for free.

I got some nice ones like you described at Kohl's and Target. It was last year but maybe they will have some this year.

My plus sized friend finds the cutest boots online-google "wide calf snow boots." Is it "Woman Within"? Not sure--check that.
