I have kids of various ages and just recently moved here from Tennessee, so I'm looking for a dentist that works great with kids. We live in the Rio Rancho area so I would like to have a dentist in Rio Rancho. Later on down the road, we'll be looking for an orthodontist too. Laughing gas is ok with me....just need some help finding the right dentist.

What can I do next?

B.,
I just recently took my Daughter to Rainbow Dentistry on Golf Course and Paridise. It was her first time and they were wonderful. Their waiting room is completly kid based and then when they go back they have open booths so you and your kids don't feel like they just stuck you in a room and shut the door. The entire staff was very friendly and wonderful. My daughter whom doesn't even like me to mess with her mouth allowed them to clean her teeth and look at them. I have also been told do not go to small smiles they dont allow the parents back and if you ask me that is just out of the question!!!! I hope this helps you!

I know it's not in Rio Rancho, but I took my daughter to Dr. Tilson (Cherry Hills Dental @ Academy & Wyoming) for a cavity at 3 1/2 yrs old. She was in & out in 15 minutes. I watched the whole thing. He's wonderful & used no shots/laughing gas. I was amazed. The waiting room doesn't look like they take any kids, but they actually see a LOT of kids. My MIL is a hygienist & recommended us to him. If you don't go there - you may want to see if the place you choose has an *air compression drill?* That's what they used that didn't require anestetic (which is 1/2 the fear of going/taking your kids to the dentist).

B.,good dentists for kids are really hard to find. In Rio Rancho Raymond Brousard is good, but if you're willing to make a trip into Albuquerque Dr. David Martinez is by far the best kids dentist I have found. Good luck.

I love David Martinez on Montgomery near the hospital. He is excellent and his office if just for kids. My three love him.

Also, if you need a good ortho, you can't beat Lisa King off of Paseo del Norte east of Wyoming. You can see her name on the building. We love her. She is working with my son, who was born with a cleft lip and palate.

I live near Rio Rancho but haven't found a good dentist there yet. I'll stick with the ones I go to.

Dr. Lisa King is our Orthodontist. Great practice and accepts monthly payments with no money down. She is located Northwest Corner of Paseo Del Norte and Barstow. She has applied braces on both of my children and couldn't of asked for better. I also have a great dentist however he is located just below the East Mountains. I know its a drive but worth it for our family. Dr. Kings phone number is ###-###-####. Good luck.
