Seeking a Flexible Pediatrician near Worcester, MA

I bring my son to Dr. Cleary in clinton... She is great. She's been a pedi for many years, she actually was my fiance's pedi when he was a young child. She's very flexible, knowledgable, up to date & very thorough. She's at Nashway Pediatrics in the clinton Hospital.

Hi D.- I totally understand where you are coming from with the immunizations. We gave my daughter all of hers up to a year, but have decided to hold off on the others for now, and strectch out the schedule a bit- I agree that vaccines are in place for good reason and totally plan to have my daughter compeltely vaccinated before school starts, but in the meantime I feel that it is my choice- and personally feel that the current vaccine schedule is too agressive- I've been reading the Vaccine Book by Dr. Sears and they actually have a couple suggestions for alternative plans!

That said, my daughter sees Dr. Aggawal at the Fallon Clinic in Millbury. He is very, very kind- great bedside manners- and has NEVER pushed me to do anything. I wouldn't say he has necessarily been an advocate for our doing things this way, but he has never made me feel bad about it and said that it is up to me. Good luck.

The vaccine schedule is set that way for a reason. When your child has to go to school, he/she will need certain shots to even get it. It's better off to get them done & over with & ensure the health of your child. Noone likes to see their kid cry over a shot, but to keep them healthy? no questions about it.

I don't think there are too many dr.'s out there that'll go along with YOUR modifications - but you'll just have to plop open a phone book & start calling down the list I think.

Hello...I have been taking my 3 children (ages 13 yrs, 10 yrs, and 20 months) to Umass pediatrics since my oldest was born. They all see Dr. Beverly Nazarian and she is wonderful.
When I wanted my baby to be swabbed to check for strep, even though she did not think she needed to be, she said she would gladly have it done if that is what I wanted. ~M.~

You are wise to question and review your options regarding the aggresive vaccination schedule being used. Dr. Malkani at Chandler Pediatrics on Chandler Street is a fine Doctor who you may want to interview.
I wish the subject of vaccinating these young children was not such a controversial subject. I have done tons of research and currently have not gone back to vaccinating my child. If you decide against it, there are waivers to get your child into schools, this is the parents choice, not the public.

I take my son to Chandler Pediatrics in Worcester MA, on the corner of Chandler and June St's. Not sure if my dr. is taking new patients, but all the dr's there that we've seen (during sick visits) have been wonderful. All are fairly young and are very accepting of doing things differently. I decided to go ahead with the regular vaccinations for my son, but I did discuss other options with my dr. and she was open to whatever I felt comfortable with.

I'm not sure how close to the Worcester area you need to be but Dr. Kanjer-Larson in Clinton is fabulous! She is extremely flexible in many ways, which I'm not sure I want to print due to some of the responses you have recieved. I like Dr Evans, she is kind of pro vaccine BUT she understands that in the end it's the parents choice
