I was going to suggest Steeping Stones as well. My family has had great experiences through this preschool. I would for sure look into them!

I second the nomination for St. Peter's in Huber. I was so impressed w/ the preschool program that I'm now sending my son to their kindergarten, and hope to be able to afford to continue sending him there through 8th grade. We are not what you would call a religious family, and you do not need to be Catholic to go there.

Try Stepping Stones. It's right up the road at West Charleston Church of the Brethren on 202. Good program and nice staff. Karie is the director.

When we were looking for preschools, I toured about five. Make sure you take your child with you. Very eye-opening. One school corrected my then three-year-old three times while we toured. Not for me. Another was awesome but too expensive. Another told my son he had to be quiet because it was naptime. He couldn't touch anything. Again, not the school for me. Hopefully the choice will become obvious.

Hi there. I have a boy who will be 4 in May and he attends preschool at Valley Forge Elementary School off of Taylorsville Rd. I LOVE the school and his teacher is an awesome teacher. She's in her mid 30's and has 2 kids of her own one of which is in another preschool class in the same school. She's fun and sweet and my son has had a terrific experience. They have 2 aids in the class to help out and there are about 16 kids in the class. They also cater to children with disabilities as well so it gives the 'normal' kids exposure to kids who are different than they are. They go on fun field trips and have parties for the major holidays too that parents are invited to attend. They make really neat crafts and I'm just so glad that I found this school. I checked out all the options in the area including private, church and daycare preschools and I'm so happy with this school. There's also bus service for the preschoolers and the bus picks the child up at their house which is really nice and convenient. The buses have an aid on it to help out and there's seat belts as well. I feel very comfortable with him riding the bus and attending this public school and I am very cautious about these kind of things. It was hard to initially 'let go' but he's learning so much and is having a great time. I highly recommend this school.

I would highly recommend St. Peter's Preschool...they have an open house coming up this week or next so I would give them a call. I sent my nine and eight year old there and my 4 year old is in the program now. They have extended care and traditional preschool to suite anyones needs. You do not have to be Catholic to attend...they only do basic prayers...that most religions would do at the preschool level. There number is ###-###-####. They go above and beyond what is required at the preschool level.
