Hi Ladies

I am looking for a school to put our daughter in next year, she will be in Kindergarten and we are looking for a Christian environment. I am not too impressed with the Abecka (sp?) books that most private schools use. Our oldest is very bright and can already ready and write pretty well, but I am sure not all our children will have school come this naturally to them so I would like something that can help with differing "levels" in the same grade.

We have her enrolled at WestGate and really like it but I am wondering is there something out there that I am missing that might be a better fit?

Thank you so much for your help!
Katie

I have my daughter enrolled at St. Matthews Parish school in Hillsboro. She loves it there and the tuition is very affordable. I did HIPPY with her before Kindergarten (Home Instruction for Parents of Preschool Youngsters) you can call them to find out more about the program for HIPPY ###-###-####. ###-###-#### St.Matthews, The school is very selective with the 26 students per grade they accept so the group is mature enough to focus on learing at an accelerated rate. Hope this helps.

I work at St. Stephen's Academy ###-###-####), in Beaverton on the corner of Hart and Hall. It is a wonderful classical Christian school that really teaches to the child's ability. I have been a teacher for almost 11 years and this is the first school that I have taught at that I would actually send my own kids to. In fact my oldest son is in kindergarten there currently and I have been so impressed at the students in his class.

I hope this helps.

We are in the same situation with our daughter. She is currently in Aloha Christian, and we would like to continue her on a more accelerated pace so that she doesn't get bored.

There are many private christian schools on the westside, however their tuition greatly differs. Here are some to look into:

Beaverton Christian (Beaverton Christian Church)
www.bccfamily.org

Heritage Christian
www.heritagechristian.com

Pilgrim Lutheran
www.pilgrimlutheran.com

Faith Bible Christian School
www.faithkids.org

Southwest Bible School
www.swbible.org

Horizon Christian School

Hope this helps at least start your search!! Best Wishes!
