Seeking Advice on 'Bath Time'

Thank you in advance for any suggestions, you have helped so much in the past. So my little one hates baths. She enjoyed them when we bathed her in the kitchen sink and then didn't seem to mind the first 2 times we bathed her in our tub but the 3rd time was horrible so from then on out she has bathed with either me or her father and that was ok for awhile but now she just screams throughout the bath even when were in there with her. It's been like this for months to the point where I dread bath time. I know this is probably a phase but I see no end, it just gets worse. I've been searching for a 'toddler tub' (I've seen something that I think would work in those children picture books by 'Priddy') but the only thing I find is a tub by Summer Infant that has received horrible reviews.
Any suggestions on what I can do to make bath time better (she has lots of bath toys) or where I could find a toddler tub?
I should also mention that she loved being in both a large and small pool in the summer so I'm not sure why baths are so bad.

What can I do next?

You could try a laundry basket inside the tub it might give her that extra sense of security.

You've probably already tried this but my little one LOVES bubble bath.

we used a bath seat (I still have it if you want it...)don't remember the name but it has a handle that rests over the wall of the tub and the seat sits inside the tub, the seat turns in the tub just a little....it was a blessing!

my youngest son didn't like baths either...until we put him in the seat...then it would be a basic bath...just soap up and rinse off...each time it got better....I would sit in the tub with him every once in a while to show him how to splash or push the boat....

if you want the seat just let me know...I think it just gave him security....

We used an inflatable tub. You can get it at target/walmart for a few bucks, and after you're done with it...it becomes a great out of the tub tou for climbing on. :) (Not sure if an inflatable tub is the same as a toddler tub or not)

You could also try putting a towel on the bottom of the tub, that might help with the slipperyness. :)

My son was the same way when he was younger. He outgrew his baby tub quickly and we got a Eurotub. It's a lot bigger, but still smaller than the actual bathtub. It just fits inside our regular bathtub and had room for toys yet that extra support. I got it at Babies R Us for $25. If it's something you think you'd like to try but don't want to spend that much I'm willing to sell it for $10. Right now we are just using it as a stuffed animal holder.

Good luck!

Yes, it seems perplexing as to why she would hate baths so much, doesn't it? If you can figure out the cause, I think you would have the answer to your problem right there. Does she feel insecure in your big tub, if she doesn't have a toddler tub now? We got ours at BabiesRUs, and I know they sell them at Target, and probably at KMart and Walmart as well. Is she warm enough? I always have turned on a small space heater for my daughter's bath, and perhaps that would be why she liked pools during summer and not now? You said she has tub toys - have you tried bubble bath (I know she is too young for it, technically) or bath crayons? They have been favorites for my daughter for many months, and at this point she would fuss if I tried a bath without bubbles. We use that "calming bath" in the purple bottle from J&J (I believe). Or, if you HAVE been using bubble bath, could that be too strong for her and irritating her skin, causing the dislike of the bath? Could she feel claustaphobic in the small tub space, versus the open kitchen and open outdoors in summer? Could you leave the door open and make sure other family members come in/out so she doesn't feel isolated?

Don't know if any of this will help. Good luck!
