HI,

does anyone have any advice for a birthday party for a first grade girl ? I was wondering if there was any place that hosted parties for little girls that was fun, unique and reasonable ? I am looking for something in the Muskegon, Grand Haven area. I checked into the usual spots (Craig's Cruisers, crazy bounce), but I'd like something that is more unique. Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated ! I am just not that creative !!

What can I do next?

J.,
I am not sure the cost but there is a hair salon up in North Muskegon that does parties and the girls get there hair and nail done, girl fun things. Also there is a bead shop that does things like that in Grand haven where there can make a piece of jewlery.

Hi!! I was thinking...maybe there is a school such as Chic Cosmotology that the girls ( the 7 yr olds) could go and get their hair done and maybe their nails done? Something tells me that that would be fun!! I have a 7 yr old as well and that is what we did for her birthday!! Go to the dollar store and get some girly prizes and let the girls have spa party at your house? Maybe a scavengar hunt in the back yard for things like new hairbrushes, play makeup, press on nails and stuff!! Can't think of anything else!! HTH!!

We just had my daughters 6th birthday party at a Horizons Gymnastics. It was wonderful, they do everything for you including invitations and thank you cards. The girls had so much fun and we only had to bring drink boxes and cupcakes.

There are also plenty of Paint-your-own-pottery type places. There are two or three in Holland, so there must be at least one in the GH/Muskegon area. It can get pricey, though, with the studio fees and then purchasing the pottery...

Of course, there is also Playworld in Grandville. They have a few blow-up things (like Crazy Bounce), but they also have those ball pits and huge climbing things with tunnels. They have party rooms there too (but again, can get pricey).

Good luck!

How about taking them bowling or roller skating? Something that gives them activity and fun not just eating cake and ice cream. I know our local community pool has pool parties for birthdays too.

Have fun!!

Hello, I am a mom of 7 who lives in the GH area. Try the Ceramic Cafe downtown on Washington. They do a nice party and the kids get to make something. Even my boys like it. We went there over spring break. Another place is Starlight lanes does a nice party with pizza and drinks included. One of my sons had that and it was great. The Grand Haven 9 also has a party room. You bring everything in and if you do a matinee it is reasonable. You have the party there at the theater. They even have a fridge and freezer for icecream. We brought pizza in and the cake and icecream. Had the party then went to the movie. I hope this helps some.
