We had a Transformer cake and the Super Target had to order the sugar overlay, so you'd better make sure they even have it. I went to 3 different stores (Wal-Mart, Albertson's and Kroger) to find one who both had a machine to do it and have the overlay. This was the cheapest route for me. I made my own cake and they put the overlay on it and decorated it with icing at no extra charge at all. It was a little lop-sided, but he didn't care! It cost me around $20 total.

My family and I have used Cakes By George (listed as Bakery by George) for over 15 years. Their cakes are delicious and very reasonably priced. 1/4 sheet (serves about 15) is around $40 and they do a wonderful job copying invitations, etc. Let me know if you need their phone # (don't have it near me at the moment).
