Hi,
I am looking for a dentist who is great with kids, particularly w/ one who tends to be hyperactive...first time going. He's 4 1/2 and we live in Webster.
Thanks so much for your opinions.

We go to Pediatric Dentistry of Sunset Hills. My kids dentist is Mark Fernandez. I have friends who see others in the practice and love it as well. This is also an office where the kids go back alone. I have 4 kids (my youngest is 4 and has MAJOR tooth problems) absolutley love him. They never gripe to go even if they need something fixed. It is an extremely kid friendly environment with an extremely kind staff. Good luck!

We see Dr. Kurt Weisenfels in Webster on Lockwood right near Elm. He's not a pediatric dentist but is wonderful with kids as are all his staff. My favorite part about him is that he is very high tech which makes various treatments so much easier. My daughter recently had a couple cavities worked on and he used a laser to clean them right out. Took all of 30 minutes and was easy as pie. She didn't need any novacaine or pain releif as the laser is so easy and effective, you don't feel any pain. She was smiling and chatting the whole time! A very positive experience!

I take my kids to Dr. Carolynn Wolff in Chesterfield. Her office is at the corner of Clarkson and Baxter. She's a pediatric dentist (the 3rd one we've tried) and I like her. Her number is ###-###-####. Just to warn you, parents typically wait in the waiting room while the kids go back on their own. Seems to work usually, except when my 3 year old really had a big fit and I had to go back to console him. Let me know if you have any other questions about their office. I'm happy to try to help.

I took my 4 1/2 year old daughter to Dr. Krobath in Webster Groves (near Elm). I was actually getting extensive work done myself which he did an excellent job on considering I'm a complete chicken and had been avoiding dental care for years. One day I heard him interacting with a 4 year old getting an extraction. He was excellent and explained everything so that the child could understand and be relaxed. He used "the wand" instead of the traditional and more painful shots (you barely feel it!). And that child never so much as made a sound. The next day I made an appointment for my little one. She thought he was great and and he convinced her to stop sucking her thumb, too! By explaining how it affects her smile. She took it all in. I highly recommend him!
