Well, with the new year coming and the fact that I am getting older I feel it is time to start doing something to stay in shape. I am not over weight, but I think I am starting to get big thighs and butt from a sit down job. I hate to excercise and am not an outdoors person and I get bored very quickly with working out, not to mention my 3 year old doesn't leave me alone long enough to work out. Does anyone have any good ideas for fitness equipment that doesn't take up much space and that isn't as boring as running on a treadmill that would help the butt/thigh area? I may take a pilates class next year one day a week, but I am not very good at sticking to something, I get busy and then blow it off, so I wouldn't start a gym membership. Any ideas?

What can I do next?

I bought a Nintendo WII and absolutely love it. I have several exercise games that are fun and a great workout. You can set the amout of time to exercise (15 - 75 min) and areas you want to work on. "Your shape" "My personal trainer" "EA sport active" are all very good. I also have the WII Fit and that is fun and can even get your little one involved. My daughter likes to play along with me. (it helped me lose 20 lbs so far) Hope that helps.

i got the biggest loser cardio blast dvd and lost 8 lbs in 2 weeks. it is fairly easy and you only need some small weights. they also have a power sculpt dvd that i haven't tried they are 10 dollars a piece at walmart and defiantly don't take up much space

Buy a rebounder, also known as a mini trampoline. You can do all kinds of exercises on it and after usage, can pick it up and store it against a wall. Also a large exercise ball, the large one. There are a few great exercises that work wonders for the butt and thighs. You wouldn't think so by looking at the picture book but oh boy! can you feel the results!

Both are fairly inexpensive, about $20-$30 a piece.
