Seeking Experiences with Endometrial Masses And/or Uterine Cancer

I know everything you are reading right now says surgery, chemo or radiation. I highly recommend reading the book The Gerson Therapy. Dr. Gerson was a Dr who found a way to heal the body from cancer using nutrition in the 1940's. Unfortunately, when he went before Congress, the big pharmaceutical companies had already lobbied the politicians and I suppose you can guess the outcome. It sounds radical, but please get the book and read it! Even if you don't have cancer, by changing what you eat, your body can keep those cells from developing.

Hi L., I had something similar when I was 20. I went in with terrible pain with very heavy, irregular periods. My doctor did a hydro-sonogram and found a mass in my uterus. She thought they were polyps. I had a D&C done and it was several polyps. That's fairly uncommon in someone my age, but it happens. I hope everything comes back fine for you too. Please let us know how you are doing.

I had the same stuff going on December 07. I opted for a uterine ablation. You can google it...it is awesome and could save you from a hysterectomy down the road. They basically singe the uterine lining so nothing grows there anymore and you don't have a period anymore either. (awesome) You get to keep all your hormones. It was simple...no real downtime. My growths were benign...but in the end, most women get them (growths) eventually and end up with a hysterectomy. I was scared it was cancer too. A lot of women want this procedure when they are done having kids and it's pricey. Because of the growths, my insurance paid for it. Another bonus.

Hi, I have had endometriosis for over 10 years. I had several cysts that ruptured on their own and I've also had 4 laparoscopies to remove cysts. Mine turned out to be chocolate cysts. I was very lucky that I was able to have children after all that. You should really prepare yourself for all outcomes...if it turns out to be cancer, just remember that there are plenty of cancer survivors out there. Good luck to you.

L., I hope that your results come back ok. I was diagnosed in Sept.with endometrial cancer. I went for my yearly exam with symptoms of premenapause but because I was having some blinding pain on my right side he wanted to check for endo metrosis and not only discovered a cyst on my right overy(source of my pain) but also found cancer. I will be glad to share my experience with you when you get your results but I know how brutal the waiting is. Good Luck and let me know when you get more info.

I experienced a similar situation last year. My physician did an ultrasound and a biopsy on what she called polyps/growths and masses. All came back negative. I did have an ablation done last January and have had no bleeding at all since then. My insurance paid for the entire procedure. It is almost completely without pain-a little discomfort the first day. And you won't have the irregular bleeding. I don't know what age you are, I am 43 and was looking at quite a few years of irregular bleeding as "peri-menopause"-not fun. Maybe that is an option for you...

I had the same problem and the biopsy was negative. The good thing is catching these problems early because then, even if it's positive - you can fix it. Tuesday will be here before you know it, but I always get a lot of closets cleaned out when I am anxious like that, so I understand your worries. Good luck!
