I have a 3 year old daughter and a 7 year old son and they attend Young Life Academy on Woodstock St in Roswell. My son is in 2nd grade at Roswell North Elementary and then the bus takes him to Young Life's after school program. My daughter will be starting their Pre-K program in August. We have been going there for years and have been happy with their programs. They have a summer camp that is fun as well. There are many after school programs that are run right at Young Life so my kids don't miss out on activities like ballet/dance, chess club, etc. It is pretty tough to secure a spot there, but that speaks to how good the school is, and it is worth it once you are there. Good luck with the preschool hunt!

I have a neighbor in Roswell, Joan Smith, who has a family day care. I don't know if she has openings, but her number is ###-###-#### if you want to call her.

J.,

I would certainly consider putting an ad on care.com or babysitters.com. I saved quite a bit of money by having someone come to my home and care for my kids after school. My daughter was in preschool, and the babysitter picked her up from preschool. If she isn't currently in a pre-school program, you could find a great in-home caregiver that will work with your child at home, take her to educational venues, etc. I hope this helps... I have also had great luck with church preschools. My daughter is currently attending a preschool at a church and she absolutely loves it!

Kids R Kids on Johnson Ferry Road in Marietta is an excellent school. It's one of the best quality learning centers you will find in the area. The benefit of trying to get her in now is that she'll definitely be able to get into one of their Georgia funded Pre-K programs when she's ready.
