I was hoping to get some positive and negative feedback on florists, hairstylists, and live music (maybe flute or guitar) for my upcoming wedding/family joining. We are planning on VERY short notice- the event will be in October in East Dundee, IL. I am located in Elgin.
I used Antonio Soriano for my ceremony music. He is an excellent guitarist and he and his wife were very sweet in arranging things for us by phone and email. I ended up making my own flowers from silk ones bought at Michaels and my mom did my hair. It turned out to be a wonderful day all in all. Thank you to everyone for your help and advice!

We used the Jewel florist for our wedding and were very happy with them. Everything went smoothly and all. Somebody would just need to pick up the flowers the morning of the wedding, as they do not deliver. But it was significantly cheaper than a regular florist, the father of the groom picked up the flowers no problem, and it all turned out quite well. Just an idea. Hope it helps.
Hi-We used Town & Country Florist for our wedding 2 years ago--They are located in Elgin and their pricing is great! I highloy recommend them!
I am getting married this Friday.
I am using a girl out of a salon in Crystal Lake for my hair, but she is coming to my home that morning and is only charging $40 for my updo (I've already had my run-through and that was $25 @ the salon). She is great though. A different girl, elsewhere, screwed up my hair - I had her dye & highlight, and this girl fixed it! She works at Distinction Salon & Spa in downtown Crystal Lake and her name is Ashley. She's in her mid 20s, so she's up-to-date on sytles and what not. She also won 1st place in a contest in downtown for up-dos!
My florist is Fabrini's in Schaumburg. I've seen their work before, they usually do awesome flowers!
Our Dj is located in Schaumburg. He used to DJ at Schaumburg Alumni and Cadilac Ranch on Route 20 & 59. I do't remember the name of the company off-hand (I think it's Mike G's First Class Entertainment), but he's great too. It was more pricey than I wanted to pay, but comparable to all the other DJs out there. If you look up Essence Phot & Video (he' s co-owner) in Schaumburg on Roselle Road, you can leave a mesaage for him there. (Essecse is also our Photogapher).

I used a girl named Heather she will come to you and bring whatever you need. She was AWSOME I loved my hair and she didn't take FOREVER (which is what i normally get because my hair is so thick and long). Her number is ###-###-####.
