H.,
Where are you? I'm in Middletown, and have been quilting all my life. I am a patient teacher, too. If you are not far, maybe I can help you.
Best wishes,
K.
Okay, this may seem like a crazy request, but here goes...my youngest son, Harrison was born with a rare brain disorder in 1999. He lived for almost 5 years, passing away in 2004. I'm looking to make a memory quilt of his clothing, but I don't even know how to sew a button on, so I'm really challenged in this area! I'm looking for either someone who is so very patient to work side by side with me, or for someone who would be willing to help me design the quilt and then sew it. I'm not looking for a free service as I know it takes a lot of time to make a quilt, but I am looking for someone who won't make me broke, either!! I want to eventually have a quilt done for my older son, too, because we walk a fine line of memory and future! Thank you for any and all advice/help,
Sincerely, H.

H., I am sorry, I cannot help you with the quilts...however, I just wanted to tell you that I think your idea is beautiful and very touching!!! Good luck in your endeavor to make this wonderful memory quilt - and may your family continue to be blessed to have you and your positive spirit!
What a great idea! I wanted to let you know about a quilting business that my aunt and cousin operate up in Michigan. I know it's not close, but maybe they could help you or give you some ideas. Check out their website: http://www.aaquilting.com/ Good luck with your project!
H.,
Let me throw this idea out to you - I lost my uncle unexpectedly a year ago and it has been a very difficult time for me. 15 months ago, I had a son and he is named after my uncle and when we had his baptized, my mom found a lady who makes memory bears out of clothes. ANyway, Aidan now has a memory bear made out of my uncle's clothing and I was so touched. My uncle left behind 7 grandchildren and for christmas last year, my aunt had 7 memory bears made for all of them as a reminder of their grandpa. I love the idea of the quilt but wanted to throw this idea out to you as well. I didn't know if you had other children that would enjoy the bears. If you are intereseted in having a memory bear made, please e-mail me and I will be more than happy to e-mail you the information. I have one made out of my grandmother's quilts that she made. My e-mail address is ____@____.com Have a great day!
