Seeking Hotel for Slumber Party

My 11 year old wants to have a slumber party for her bday, and we live in very cramped quarters. She knows a girl who had a slumber party at a hotel, and wants to do this. I'm looking for recommendations for good places. It will be me, my daughter, and 3 or 4 other girls. I was hoping to get something like a jacuzzi suite, but when I do searches on the internet they always come up as not allowing that many kids; in fact, they seem to allow just 1 kid. It doesn't have to be a jacuzzi suite, it could be a more normal suite in a place with a really good swimming pool--preferably including an indoor pool. We live in Plano but are willing to travel around the metro some. Don't have a fortune for a 5* but I'm okay with paying over $100/night. It would be nice to have the sort of suite that's divided into a tv room with a pull-out sofa, and then the real bedroom area separate. My 3 kids and I stayed in one in Minneapolis and it was only about $125/night for the 2 room jacuzzi suite, and they had a good pool and free breakfast.

What can I do next?

I toured a couple of hotels out near DFW airport several years ago because they were trying to get me to book our conferences there. While showing me the Presidential Suite, they indicated that a couple of moms had gotten together to do a slumber party in that suite one night and it was great because the moms didn't have to clean up afterward. It was one of two hotels...either the Harvey Hotel DFW or the Sheraton DFW. I remember the suite was a loft with 2 floors. Upstairs was the bedroom and bathroom and a spiral staircase led down to the kitchenette, dining room and sitting area. It was really nice.

Good luck! I've always remembered that tour and decided that was what I was going to do when my girls were ready for a slumber party.

Embassy Suites (www.extendedstaynetwork.com) Has a slumber party package which includes a 2 room suite, 2 medium 2 topping pizzas, 6 12-oz sodas, with 1 in room movie for $150 daily.

I posted the address and info below, but the link may not work -- you can find the info by going to the address above, then looking around.

Good luck -- it sounds like a fun party idea!

Last weekend we stayed at the Gaylord Texan and I saw 3 different groups of slumber party girls, so I am assuming they must have some type of deal. Have fun!

I am just going to second the idea of Embassy Suites. My freind did the same w/ her daughter plust brought things for manicures and facials for the girls- they each got a little basket w/ nail polish, lotions, face mask ... and that was the party favor.
Have fun!

Twice I have had my daughter's birthday party at the Marriott Quorum on Dallas Parkway. It has an indoor/outdoor pool and keeps them entertained. The downside is a hospitality parlor cost about $250.00, but you could call and ask if there is a time when it may be less + about $100.00 for the attached king room. Another option is to get connecting rooms. You could have a king in one room - for you and 2 doubles in the other, which 4 girls can sleep very well. You can even have a roll-a-way brought in if necessary.

Another option that we have used is the Marriott Residence Inn on Quorum. They have a 2-bedroom suite which is less expensive and it also has a sofa that makes into a bed if needed. It has a full kitchen and all the comforts needed. The pool is an outdoor pool but you may have priviledges at the Quorum across the street. This hotel also offers a complimentary breakfast which is very good and for that many kids, definitely easier on the pocketbook. Good luck.

Embassy Suites in Grapevine has a great suite and an indoor pool. They also have a free breakfast buffet.
