I'm a working mom who wants to join a mom's group. Most of my friends who have kids live in Austin or San Antonio and the rest of my girlfriends who live here are either single or just in the honey moon stage of their marriage. I really want to meet other moms who I can relate to. Does anybody have any suggestions???
Try Mom's Club. They are organized by geographical area and there are 3 in Allen. It is a great group and good way to meet other moms. You can find them on the web.
I was part of the Mom's Club of Frisco for several years and met many wonderful moms! I'm not sure if Allen has a club but I wouldn't be surprised if they do. You can find out by emailing the International Moms Club at their website: www.momsclub.org.

I belong to the Luna Mom's Club which is affiliated with Stroller Strides. You do not have to be a member of Stroller Strides to be in the mom's club, and there is no fee. The calendar is kept on meetup here http://playgroup.meetup.com/789/
We do various activities, like Thursday we are meeting at the Joy of Pottery. We did this last month as well and had a great time. We also, meet for dinner, movies, scrapbooking and other activities.

By the way, if you want to come Thursday night you need to call the Joy of Pottery ASAP as you have to preregister (it is a special event they only do once a month.) Their number is ###-###-####.

Lots of mom groups are based on parenting philosophy, like breastfeeding, or attachment parenting, etc.
You could go to the library story times and playgrounds and meet neighbor moms. A big plus to this is that you get to see how your kids interact with theirs.
As always, churches and neighborhood groups are good places to meet people. You might try some moms from your day care or preschool, their schedules will most likely match yours.

We're both working moms, too (my son just turned 2; her son is almost 4 and daughter is almost 2.) I actually work right in Allen; she lives in Frisco; and I live in Carrollton.
