I taught MDO for a couple of years and now teach preschool. New World Day School in Garland (Northwest Highway between Oats and Centerville) has a great MDO program. I know the preschool program is on wait list so the MDO program may be full but check it out.

If at all financially possible, I would at least sign up for the two day program. When a child has not been involved in a structured environment away from mom, you will go one week and then he will have to wait seven days before he goes again. It is really hard to initially adapt to the program with that much time in between. It will be much harder on you every week when you drop him off. Most programs are two or three day programs so he would be one of the only children who only come once a week so the other children will be bonding during his absence.

Think about it and good luck. I was serious about New World in Garland. They are the best.

I love the MDO program my sons attend. It is Ridgewood Park Weekday Programs ###-###-####) on Lovers just East of Abrams. My boys (2yrs old & 1 yr old) with both attend 1 day a week. The teachers & directors are all so very wonderful. If you call now, they will probably have a waiting list. Once school starts, there are generally spots that come open. I was on the waiting list last year & we were able to get in. It is well worth getting on the list!
Good Luck,
A.

I teach music at several preschools, child care centers and mother's day out programs around Dallas. There's one near my home in East Dallas on Peavy near Garland Rd., called Baby Steps. They have part time enrollment available so it's also like a mother's day out. You can choose however many days you want and you can choose half days or extended care. Stella Finger is the Director and her number is ###-###-####. I wish I could have gotten this info to you earler in the week, because she just had an Open House this afternoon.

Hello B. D,

I remember when I was at the one the weight losing gyms, where today they know mother want there cake and eat it to. They have mother's and children in a class together with other parents.
Y.M.A.C something on that line too. But, you can check around for activities and relationship with individual sceening for compatiblity. Because you want to make a good search what is good for the both of you. And research is good because you want to see if meets your standard and financial situation. Look on the Mama Sources menu for topics and needs, you will get some ideas from this site alone.

Good luck,
And enjoy your relationship with your baby now because they grow-up so soon before you know.
This is the bonding period for you and your child.
Memories are truly important issue.
