There are many great neighborhoods in Kennesaw but they vary greatly depending on price. The Bentwater neighborhood and Seven Hills neighborhoods that I have seen recommended are gfreat neighborhoods but they are NOT in Kennesaw. They are quite a bit further out. One factor you might want to consider is the school district. Much as I hate to say it and don't want to stir up controversy, the Georgia Public School system is among the worst in the country (it is in the bottom ten if not the bottom five. I would recommend private school but that largely depends on your budget. Either way, where you are in relation to your kids school makes a huge difference. Legacy Park and Brookstone are two great subdivisions that are IN Kennesaw. If you are willing to go out a ways, the other neighborhoods mentioned are great as well as Bridgemill in Canton. Of all of them, I would really recommend my neighborhood. It has the BEST pool of all, it is across from a great private school and in close proximity to the public schools and it was actually voted by Cobb Magazine the "Best New Subdivision" in ALL of Cobb County. It is also close to Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park. It is called "The Overlook at Marietta Country Club" but it is also the priciest of all of them. There might be one or two in the high $500 range but most are in the $700-$900 and up range. You are buying at a great time because home prices are down drastically. In addition to the great neighborhoods listed which are very large neighborhoods offering something for everyone, there are many other smaller subdivisions that offer great amenities as well. Good luck in your search--regardless of your neighborhood, Kennesaw is a great area in which to live.
