Seeking OB/GYN and Dermatologist in Pasadena

I know you've received quite a few recommendations- but here's one more. I go to the most fantastic OB/GYN in the world, Dr. James Macer. I found him 11 years ago through numerous referrals, mainly because I wanted to have my baby at Huntington Memorial (I live in Studio City, about 30 minutes away). I can't say enough wonderful things about him- he's compassionate, caring- an all around great guy, and very well thought of and respected in his field. I LOVE my OB GYN. I highly recommend her. although she is in arcadia. dont know if that is too far for you but I drive all the way from monterey park all the way to arcadia to see her. from pasadena its not that far. If you are still interested private message me and Ill send you her info. dont know if it matters what dr you go to with your insurance but I know for sure she takes blue cross.

I have the most amazing OB/GYN in La Canada. Dr. Sharon Nelson! I couldn't imagine going to anyone else. I am not sure if she is taking new patients at this time but it couldn't hurt to try. Go and meet her and see what you think. There is nothing wrong with interviewig a few.

My ob/gyn rocks - his name is Dr. Merchant (I think it's Edward Merchant). He's on Fair Oaks in Pasadena, near the hospital. If he's not available, the others in the same office I've heard are awesome also!

I see Dr. Selena Lantry. She is at Glendale Adventist Medical Center in Glendale. I realize that may be a bit far for you but she is a sweet lady. She's married and has three children of her own so she's very motherly in her bedside manner. Good luck and welcome to Southern California:)

I have two grown daughters who absolutely love their ob/gyn. In fact my older daughter is due to deliver her second child on March 28. I have also met Dr. Grier and she is smart, fabulous bedside manner, very calm and most importantly SHE LISTENS AND ADDRESSES ALL YOUR CONCERNS. She is located in Pasadena. Her office is on Fair Oaks and Del Mar next to Huntington Memorial Hospital. By the way my daughter also has a wonderful pediatrician for her 3 year boy and will use Dr. Maur for the new baby too. Her office is located right across the street from Huntington Hospital. Her office is really easy to get to and there is a parking structure to park in. Parking is reasonable, maybe a couple of bucks per visit.

I loved my OB -- she was referred to me from my sister in law who used her for all three of her kids. She is located in Glendale, right on the border of La Canada. Dr. Iwata. I don't have her number right here, but her office is Hartford, Schori and Iwata if you want to look it up. She is very mellow, and a great listener -- good for pregnant mom concerns and freak outs!

Dr Elenor Leung is a great OB/GYN who is affiliated with Huntington Hospital. Great bedside manner and very friendly. Her number is ###-###-####.

I use Dr. Sharon Nelson across the street from Verdugo Hills Hospital, and she is fantastic. Everyone I know who goes to her loves her. The number is ###-###-####. She is only about 4 miles from Pasadena off the 210 freeway.

Now if you're looking for GYN only,(not OB),then Dr.Virginia Lee,MD is the doctor for you.. She's in her late 30's, is married and has 2 kids(boy and a girl). She very understanding, caring, can relate to you, and also very GREAT Doctor and GYN surgeon..

I know this because Dr.Virginia Lee is my doctor and she has done my surgery(hysterectomy)...Plus I also work in the same office as her.. She's the BEST Doctor ever..

Hi C. and welcome to Pasadena...I saw your request and had to definately respond!! I am currently a SAHM, but was a nurse working in Pasadena 15 years ago. I LOVE my OB/GYN.. His name is Patrick Sutton..his address is 50 Alessandro Pl. ###-###-#### ...I met him when I was working in an office on the floor below him..I was so impressed with his willingness to come see "our" patient ( it was an emergency) during his own office hours, that then and there I knew that I wanted him to be my Dr. Since then, I have had two beautiful girls (ages 15 and 13 years). I had two "challenging" labors, but could not have done it without him. My first delivery was very long...36 hours, but he stayed at Huntington the entire time. In fact, was actually waiting for me at the hospital when I arrived. ( I had seen him that day and he knew that I was going into labor, so he stuck around waiting!!) I am also a very successful VBAC patient, which is unheard of now!! He was so awesome to let me try and deliver w/o another c-section..I didn't know how lucky I was at that time!! Anyway, you can see how much I recommend him, in fact, alot of my friends now have "switched" too. Now I just get to see him once a year for my "usual"..:-( Sorry, I don' have a Derm. for you, but you could call Huntington Hospital and ask them for a recommedation as well. Good luck!!

I have had her for the last 3 years after having a not so stellar OB in Pasadena (I won't mention his name here, but e-mail me if you want to know). Dr. Yu is very on top of things. My first pregnancy was a blighted ovum and she took me through everything I needed to know for that. When I became pregnant with my son, she did blood tests to make sure the hormones were rising sufficiently for 4 weeks before she did the early ultrasound to see his heartbeat at 8 weeks. She did all of this to reassure me that everything was ok. Now she is helping us in our efforts to try and conceive our second child. She calls personally with test results. I feel very comfortable her and she was also awesome during the delivery of my son.
