Hi moms. My 2 1/2 year old needs to go to the dentist, he has never had a check-up. Can anyone recommend a dentist in Evanston or the surrounding areas who is good with children? Thanks!
Dr. Maria Simon with the Northshore dentistry for children practice; she is amazing! She is on Sherman in the rotary bulding on the sixth floor.
love love love my dentist in wilmett on lake street in the westlake plaza. his name is dr. clyde ono. he is so conservative, up to date on every latest tool, and so gentle with children and adults. i drive all the way from oak park for him. his phone is ###-###-####. he was no 1 in his dental school. he is japanese, but speaks better english than i do. he has saved my teeth!!!

My family has used Drs. Fippinger and Simon (located in downtown Evanston, now in the Rotary Bldg.) for years. They're very good with kids there.

we go to dr. simon (pronounced simone) in the rotary building downtown evanston. i forget what the practice is called. but she is really friendly and patient.
I don't have a suggestion, my daughter is 20 months ... however, my dentist did say she doesn't need to go in until 3, especially because we brush every night (with non-flouride, of course).
You may be able to have this 2nd baby first and wait a bit!
Dr. Mary Tierney at City Kids Dental is wonderful, although she is located in Lincoln Square in Chicago. But, I drive from that neighrborhood to NU in Evanston every weekend and it only takes about 20 minutes. If you don't mind the drive - she's worth it. My son had his first appointment with her and has even had some emergency work done(he broke a tooth) and she is always great with him. He doesn't stress about visiting her.
