I looked into Jenkins and LeBlanc, but it was just too far a drive for me. They seem like a nice children's dentist. I have appointments for both my girls at Fales Pediatric Dentistry in Olathe. I live in Gardner.
Has anyone taken there little one to Jenkins and LeBlanc dentistry? If so, would you recommend them? If not, is there another pediatric dentist you would recommend in the Overland Park area. I live near 143rd & Metcalf and would like a dentist close by.

My took my daughter to see them when she was 18 months old. They were great - very understanding and did not rush the visit. She was afraid to sit in the chair by herself, so the dentist encouraged me to sit with her in the chair. He waited until she was ready to open her mouth to be checked. I would highly recommend them. Hope this helps.
I don't know anything about the Jenkins and LeBlanc, but we use Dr. Parrish at 95th and Lamar, and ADORE him--he is also an orthodontist so we are hitting two birds with one stone. They are quick, nice and a pleasure to work with.

Dr. Thomas at 95th and Antioch isn't all that close to you, but it's a FANTASTIC office. Everything is completely geared towards kids, the staff is very warm, compassionate and does everything possible to make a trip to the dentist fun for kids. They get to wear cool sunglasses during the exams, get neat little blinky toothbrushes to take home, get to pick out some little toys afterwards for being good and they explain everything to the child (and parent) before they do it. I have a 4 year old and she really loves her twice yearly visits. No anxiety, no fear. It's great!

I have and my son hates to brush his teeth but he wants to go back. They did really good with him...didn't force anything. I enjoyed it as much as he did.
Hi J.,
I have a friend that did not like them, but I haven't tried them myself. Sometimes is a matter of what you need to be done:)
I tried a doctor that I loved but it was far, Northeast. The area is not the best, but the office and the service was amzing and my daughter loved it.
The Name of the place is Childrn's dental Care and their phone: 816/444-bite(2483)
They even took a picture of her with her new white smile with a Minnie Mouse border! They let them color or watch their favorite movie and give them toys and prizes....yeah...is not cheap either...but if your insurance covers it....it is worth it!
If you decide to try the Le Blanc's, let me know how they did for you...they are much closer!
Best of luck!

Hi, I don't know if College & Metcalf is too far for you, but Dr. Hemberger is great. His office and staff are very friendly & professional. They have a playhouse and computer games in the waiting room. Flat screens above the dental chairs. My son who is 8 loves it! My daughter who is 2 did scream and cry like I thought she would! Their number is ###-###-####
They are great! I took my son there when he was 2.5 years old. We went to the Shawnee office. It is very kid friendly and they were great with him. Especially since he didn't want to just open up!
We go to Dr. Hemberger right off of 119th and College. He is very gentle and great with kids. My then 3 yr old knocked a tooth back and Dr. was able to pull it without my son knowing.
Going tomorrow morning...I will let you know!!!!????!!!!!
