Seeking Pediatrician - Denton,TX

Another vote for Dr. Adams! She is great and so is Dr. Jones in the same practice. I live in Shady Shores and they are just a few miles north on 35.
Interview several, I think it is a gut feel and a comfort level with their philosophies and staff that usually makes the difference.

Dr Ronda McDowell is a ped. and her husband Dr. Adam McDowell is a family practice Dr. I LOVE THEM!!!! ###-###-#### located on FM 2181 (swisher road) across from the Heritage car wash. Hope this Helps.

We live in Hickory Creek and use Dr. Adams in Denton. I do like her and her staff quite a bit. I have also heard fantastic things about Dr. Nuby. I can tell you to stay away from Windhaven Pedi in Plano - ping me if you want details!

Dentist - don't have a good suggestion. I saw someone by my work in Irving. I can say, STAY away from the Dentist office that is off 35 in Lewisville on the SE corner from where the Black Eyed Pea is. The office building is in an older house, just next to the gas station. Can't remember the name of the dentist, but they were so rough on my teeth I got all these sores on my gums and it was so painful to eat ANYTHING for nearly 2 weeks. They blamed it on my brushing too hard - WTH??? My sister is a hygentist (they don't take my insurance), but I had her check out my mouth and she couldn't believe they denied it being their fault.

Check out Dr. Carrie Jones in Denton, TX. She is located right behind the Presby Hospital in Denton and we love her! ###-###-#### - Staff is attentive and friendly, Dr. Jones is great with the kids and talks to them and ask them questions so your older kids will like her, too. From the looks of your other responses, Dr. Jones and Adams, who happen to work in the same office, are your best bet. They are right off I35 going North so they are not too far from Corinth and piece of mind!

I love love love Doctor Nuby at Nuby Pediatrics in Denton. It is downtown denton, just north of the square. He is fantastic. Great with my 6 mo old boy, and has a lovely staff. He flys my son around the office, and I am pretty sure he does that for all the kiddos.

I love our pediatrician--her name is Carrie Jones and she has a practice with Amy Adams near Presbyterian Hospital of Denton. They have walk in hours every weekday morning and Saturday morning sick visit hours. Dr. Jones is wonderful and warm, and we've seen Dr. Adams a couple times on Saturdays and like her, as well. Being a first-time mom, I've called the nurses to ask little questions multiple times, and I always receive prompt calls back. Like Shar, my family has been with MD Pediatrics in Lewisville ###-###-#### www.mdpedi.com) for over 10 yrs. Darletta Kinkaid is a wonderful doctor, as well as Mark Holt. It's not often you find an office where you have as much confidence in their PA's as you do in the doctors. We've rarely had to wait more then a few minutes, and the records staff is amazing. I've always appreciated their nurses line. You can leave a message and a nurse will get right back to you to answer any medical questions you might have.

Scott Talbot, MD. ###-###-#### is excellent for Family Medicine. Scott Lipscomb, DDS. ###-###-#### is a great dentist. Both are in Denton. Both have great staff as well as excellent physicians. Yes...they are actually professional in the way they run their practices!

I just moved here to from California. My friend told me to try Dr. Carrie Jones, she practices by the Presbitarian Hospital. She is so awsome. You will love here. The practice is so cute too. The rooms all have cute little themes.

I have heard great things about Cook's Childrens on Lillian Miller in Denton, Dr. Goff and the other doctors are suppose to be great. I have a friend that uses Dr. Goff and she loves him.

I take my kids to Cook's Childrens in Flower Mound on Firewheel. We see Dr. Jill, but have seen Dr. Amiee, they are both great. I have heard good things about the other two doctors in the office as well but do not have experience with them.

For ped dentist we use Dr. Duffy also in Flower Mound. Her office is great very kid friendly with a small movie theater inside and a slide. The staff is kind and friendly and Dr. Duffy is awesome.

I have a 15 yr old daughter and she sees Dr. Kanadia in Flower Mound, she has been seeing him for years and is still very comfortable seeing him. He is very kind, and thorough. Office staff and nurses are great too..., I also live in the corinth area, its worth the trip to Flower Mound.

I use MD Pediatrics. While I lived in Lewisville, I used Mark Holt in the Lewisville office (for over 12 years). Since I have moved to Flower Mound, I use Dr. Kinkaid in the Flower Mound office. www.mdpedi.com or ###-###-####

We just did a big pediatrician search. We decided to use Dr. Debra Naylor at 18 and Under MD in Flower Mound (near Lifetime Fitness). But we also interviewed and liked Dr. McDowell. She is on Swisher just west of 35. We liked her a lot as well but Dr. Naylor is closer for us.

We take our son to see Dr. David Goff through Cook Children's in Denton. He and his wife are both there along with two other doctors. We have no problems. I think he is awesome. What I also like is that he does not only refer to other doctors through Cook Children's. Most of them will only refer within their network and he does not do that. I'm not sure if he or his wife is taking new patients, but it's worth a shot to call and see. I'm sure the other doctors are taking new patients if they aren't. Their number is ###-###-####.
