Hi! I'm a member of the St. Paul and Twin Cities Stay at Home Moms Meetup groups. Both groups are amazing, although I am more active in St. Paul. The Twin Cities group has more activities in Mpls. and the surrounding suburbs, but they are private, so you have to "apply" to become a member and pay a small fee (I think it's $5). There is something going on everyday between the two groups. I originally found out about the groups on mommyandme.com. I have included all the links. Hope to see you at meetup!

I've met lots of other moms and their kids that are the same age as my own from our local ECFE group. Classes usually run around $100 for a 10-12 week session. The classes and educators are very useful as well as fun play for my little one. The moms we've met through our ECFE classes get together weekly for play groups and monthly for a moms' night out. Classes are subsidized by the government, so they never turn someone down because they can't afford it.

Hi. I belong to a great moms/playgroup. The link is
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/MinnesotaMomsConnection/
We meet, chat, and get to know each other online, then meet in person with playdates for our kids and mom's nights out for us. There are moms from all over the Twin Cities and we always welcome new members.

We have a play group and here is the link if you are interested - http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Minneapoliskidsplaygroup. It only has six members right now, but we would like to have more people join the group. The children range in age from 2-6.

Music classes are always fun and usually have lots of kids that same age.I go to ones at Mt Olivet, but there's others at rec centers and others.

You could try the Parenting Oasis: http://parentingoasis.com/?page_id=2

ECFE classes are my favorite way to meet other parents. In Minneapolis, if you join the Parent Advisory Council (PAC) you even get a bump up on the priority list for registration! It helps since classes for kids that age in S Mpls do fill up fast. They're worth it though!
