My 9 year old adores his guitar teacher so much, he has gotten my husband excited about also taking lessons. His teacher's name is Matt, and he comes to our home on Saturdays. He is a delightful and conscientious young man and a great instructor as well. Can't recommend him highly enough. His cell phone number is ###-###-####. If Matt doesn't have availability Amazing Music here in Pacific Palisades has wonderful guitar teachers and their number is ###-###-####.

Hi G. -

There's a music teacher, highly recommended to me, who has a studio at Child's Play on Westwood Blvd. I'm not sure, but he might also come to the home. I'm sorry, but I can't remember his name. If you want more info, send me an email and I'll ask my friend who told me about him. Sorry to be so sketchy.

Good luck,
Colleen

I refer to Toby Semain all the time. He does travel to the Westside to teach so I don't think that would be a problem. His number is ###-###-####. I'm a voice coach here in LA and he knows me as D. Ellen. You can mention my name. I've taken some lessons from him myself. He's great...and a really nice guy! Good luck!

If he is truly interested in playing guitar, I recommend the Esteban series that is available on qvc.com. They are priced quite reasonable and instructions are easy, but the technique is far from ordinary or traditional guitar lessons. You may want to look into this before placing your son.
