Seeking Referrals to Good Childrens Dentists and Pediatricians

Hello. I know I'm a little late in responding. I would highly recommend Smith & Fox-Broermann Children’s Dentistry ###-###-#### and located in the Kelley Building
6565 S Yale Ave, Ste 401, Tulsa, OK 74136. They are great! And we love our pediatrician in the same building Dr. Rowena Baumgartner with Warren Clinic Pediatrics ###-###-#### Kelley Building 6565 S Yale Ave, #704, Tulsa, OK 74136. There are several doctors in this practice and we've always been happy with them. When we've had to take my daughter to Urgent Care - Dr. Baumgartner shared with us it's important to make an appt at Urgent Care (not just showing up). And then you can wait the 2 hours at home & come in and be seen pretty quick. And I've always been pleased with those doctors & wait time of only 10 mins max. And Dr. Baumgartner always calls to check on my child on Monday after a visit to after hours care. These are my personal favorites, but you'd just have to visit a few places to find the right fit for you and your children. Good Luck.

I moved to Broken Arrow from Rochester Michigan about 6 months ago, so I feel your pain. I had the same request as you and I heard from so many moms. I take my son to Dr. Janet Jones and Dr. Alka Sood's ofice. My 3 year old son usually see's Dr. Jones she is great, gives you lots of time and answers all of your questions. I would highly recommend her the office is located at 10011 S. Yale, the dentist I talk my son to is located at about 61st and Memorial on the West side of the street Iu belive his name is Dr. Winder he and the staff are GREAT... Sad to say, but you aren't going to find any pedi here that has weekend office hours. Don't we all wish. But a terrific pedi dentist is in Tulsa in the Kelly building at Saint Francis. I think the name is Dr. Fox and Smith. Great office, Great staff

We actually found a Pediatrician, Dentist team. Dr. Connie Proskovec and Dr Joseph Proskovec. Dr. Joe is the Dentist and loves seeing families of all ages. He is great with kids and even parents like me who are as afaid of Dentists as a child. He is very patient and kind and is always gentle. His office is on 91st and sheridan. Dr Connie is a pediatrician and for us, well worth the drive. We will never change Dr's. She is great. They have After Hrs Clinic to see sick kids every evening and every weekend. So my kids are covered when ever they need it. She is located on 12th and utica, between St. Johns and Hillcrest.

Hi G.! Welcome to Oklahoma! We also use Dr. Narrin at South Tulsa Pediatrics and she is pretty good. I don't love her but by no means dislike her. She's pretty to the point. We saw Dr. Freed when my daughter was first born (Dr. Narrin was out of the country) and once again recently and he is very good. They also do lab work/x-rays/etc. in their office, which is helpful. They do Saturday appointments and I saw someone also posted their website but here it is again: southtulsapediatrics.com.

On a side note, we had to take my daughter to an after hours clinic and we went to the new Tulsa Pediatric Urgent Care when she had this horrible virus last week. Their website is www.tulsapediatricurgentcare.com/ . They have amazing hours and the staff was very friendly and knowledgable. I was impressed by their credentials! I will note that the wait time was crazy and that office was very HOT (I had to strip my daughter down to a diaper b/c her fever was so high). We got there at 4:45 pm (they open at 4:30) and she wasn't seen until almost 6:00 and we didn't leave until almost 8:00 pm. Despite the conditions, the doctor and staff were very nice and good with my daughter. They took tests and got the results back while we were there. They faxed a letter to her doctor that night but what impressed me the most was the Dr. that saw my daughter called and checked on her THREE times the following day to make sure she was okay. Her own doctor didn't even follow up. I think when they work out the new knicks it will flow a lot smoother.

We have been using the same pediatrician since my first baby was born 7 years ago. She is absolutely amazing. I might also mention that my oldest is special needs and she's even awesome with him. Her name is Christine Narrin and she is at South Tulsa Pediatrics. She is with 2 other doctors who are also both great if you have to see them. Her office is at 91st and Memorial so would be pretty convenient from Bixby. Her number is ###-###-####. They will set up an appointment with you to come intervue the drs for no charge. The entire office staff is so incredible, which is essential as far as we're concerned. Give them a shot, you won't be disappointed. I totally know what you mean about hating to leave your doctor. We move away for almost a year and literally moved back just for our doctors because we were so unhappy.

As for the dentist we use Family Smiles Dentistry in Broken Arrow. Everyone there is great. The office is so much fun. They have a little kid waiting room with stuff to build and a big kid waiting room with video games. We just started using them about a year ago but have been so happy.

AFTER POSTING THIS, I DID SOME CHECKING ONLINE FOR YOU. SOUTH TULSA PEDIATRICS SEES PATIENTS ON SATURDAY MORNINGS. YOU CAN CALL ANY TIME AFTER 8 AND THEY WILL GET YOU IN WITH THE DOCTOR ON CALL.
