I am wondering if anyone can tell me a little bit about their experience with Dr Pozzi at Alexian Brothers. This is my 3r pregnancy. Both of my previous pregnancys were at Loyola. My last doctor was Dr Muraskas and he is no longer practicing. I loved him!! Now I have no idea if I should stay at Loyola with the other doctors there or try Dr Pozzi at Alexian. He is located near where I work and I've met him a couple of times. He seems very nice but I would like to hear from his patients how he takes care of them, especially high risk pregnancys. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
Thank you.

I feel awful responding, but I just wanted to let you know about my experience with him. He is suppossed to be a very highly trained Ob-GYN. Personally I didn't like him one bit. I was just transitioning to a high risk pregnancy and didn't know it yet. In my opinion if he had looked at the results of my ultrasound, I would of been more prepared for my daughter. When I asked him about the results he wasn't even aware I had had an ultrasound, and he opened the chart...looked down and said everything is ok. My daughter was born with Down syndrome, and because of other medical issues related to ds she is now in a wheelchair and on life support. Ironically my Mom is about to see him in a few weeks, because she was just diagnosed with cancer. She asked me about my opinion. I told her because you aren't pregnant give him a try. He is known as one of the best. I still see Dr. FOrcier...he is great. But, if I were to ever get pregnant I wouldn't go back to them. I don't know if Dr. Pozzi just happened to have an off night when I went in, but it is actually in my chart that he is not to see me.

Sorry to come off so bluntly....I just wanted to let you know my opinion.

Best of luck and I hope everything turns out!

Hi S.,
I haven't used Dr. Pozzi but he was also recommended to me by a friend who has used him for two pregnancies and was very happy. My ob is downtown so when we were considering switching to a suburban dr, she recommended him. Had we switched, we probably would have used him. My friend also gets mamasource so hopefully she'll respond with more personal info about him. Hope that helps a bit. GOod luck.

I have used Dr. Pozzi at Alexian Brothers. He joined the practice when I was pregnant with my first son. I liked him so much that when I was ready to deliver my 2nd son, I requested that he be the Dr. who induced me. He did deliver my 2nd son. I have risky pregnancies - I was hospitalized with the first son at 38 weeks - so they watched my like a hawk for my 2nd pregnancy.

Years later I had to have surgery and I chose Dr. Pozzi to do my surgery. He was going on vacation the next day and he took his cell phone and called me daily from his vacation to see how I was recovering! That is dedication and commitment! His partner was still checking on me in the hospital - but he went above and beyond.

Hi S.,

I did not have a high risk pregnancy but, Dr. Pozzi did deliver my daughter in 2006. I personally loved him. My friend who I worked with referred me to that office. I hate to say this but she dispised Dr. Pozzi. My original Dr. was Winkleman (LOVED HIM) but, obviously when your pregnant you visit every Dr. I met him and like him from the begining! He was a "let's get to the point and get it done" kind of Dr. All in all, like I said, he delivered my daughter and I loved him. I'm at a new office now because that office is just to far away. I'm 5 months pregnant and STILL debate on going back to that office just because of Pozzi and Winkelman. When I was there there was 3 Dr's. Pozzi, Winkleman and the third guy I disliked very much!!! I think I basically blabbed here but, I think I got my point that I liked Pozzi (lol). Good luck!!!!

I love Dr. Pozzi. I have nothing but great things to say about his practice and particularly him. I had many issues with my health which required a little more TLC for my 2 pregnancies and Dr. Pozzi and staff provided it all.
