Hi - We are expecting our second child and I'm thinking about changing OB/GYN. Can you recommend someone in the area?
Thanks
These doctors helped me through a very difficult pregnancy and also recommended my daughter's pediatrician, whom we love.

I know this is a super old post, but for others searching I wanted to recommend Advanced Women's Care Center in Elk Grove Village. There is a doctor (Dr Yockey), a midwife (Nicole Quigley), and a nurse practitioner who are all women, and either Dr. Yockey, or Nicole deliver. I LOVED both of them, but Dr. Yockey was on call when I had my daughter. She was so great. She didn't push anything on me, took her time, let me keep pushing for 3 hours (!) when most docs would force a c-section after 2. Turns out I didn't need a c-section and had a super fast recovery since I didn't! I didn't even need stitches because she took her time, and worked the baby out slowly. I can't recommend her enough!!
I know you already had a response about them but I had to respond about them as well. Dr. Mruz and Jill Edwards are FANTASTIC! They are out of Alexian Brothers. The whole office is like family and you are treated like family! I have had them as my Gyne office for years and I used Jill Edwards, the certified nurse midwife, for my daughter and seeing her again for my second. Dr. Mruz is fantastic too! I can't imagine going anywhere else for ANY of my "female" needs! Love them, love them, love them!!!
I want to recommend Midwest OBGYN. They deliever at Alexian Bros, and the office is just down the road on Biesterfield. They are a group of 3 midwives and an OB. I had my daughter with them, and couldn't be more pleased with the care, respect, and TIME I receive from the midwives. (I haven't needed the OB)
And yes, you can still have epidurals/pain meds, whatever you like with midwives. Being with a midwife is just more personable than experiences I've had with OBs in the past.
The number is ###-###-####.
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions about them, or midwives in general.
I go to Female Healthcare associates and I would not recommend them. They are not very personable and you feel rushed out of there. The Dr comes in checks your measurements and checks the heartbeat and then your done. They never ask me how I am feeling and if I have any questions. Also, their ultrasound machine is so old and you cn barely see the baby. I have several friends who have great pictures and can hear the baby's heartbeat during the ultrasound. Do not expect this at the Elk Grove office. I am also reading people's suggestions on Doctors in the area because I want to change doctors before it is too late.
Yes I worked with a Wonderful OB this past Sat. I am a birth Doula but just so you know I do work with moms that want epi. and or pain meds. This birth was with an Epidural. The Drs name is Dr.Yockey and her number is ###-###-#### The Midwife is also great and her name is Nicole.
tell them that Kris Rauschert recommended them.
Best Luck

I love the staff at Advanced OB-GYN and Associates. My doctor is Dr. Andrea Das. Love her! I am at the end of a very high risk pregnancy and have been able to avoid having another preemie with her. Everyone in the office is friendly and knowledgable. ###-###-####. They are located at St Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates. Good luck!

No one has mentioned this practice. I've been going to them for 14 years. For both of my babies and now for Gyn appointments.

I second Dr. Yockey and Nicole. They are amazing. Almost 10 years ago I was seeing another GYN and I began bleeding and bleed for six weeks straight. The doctor told me just to wait and I would stop bleeding eventually (yeah when I had no blood left!). I went to another doctor and he gave me birth control pills but the bleeding didn't stop. My Mom's friend recommended Dr. Yockey. Right away she diagnosed endometriosis and scheduled a D&C right away. I have been fine ever since.
I saw Nicole throughout my pregnancy and LOVED her! I used to love going to my appointments. My daughter's birth couldn't have been better or easier.
The office staff is great too. I love that everyone always remembers me and asks about my daughter and about things in my life.
Make an appointment with her office! You will not regret it! Good luck and congrats on the new addition!
I highly recommend Dr Gordon Davis He is in Hoffman Estates on Higgins Rd. His number is ###-###-#### I have been going to him for 28 years - he delivered both my children. He is gentle and doesnt rush you through his office.

I don't know who you have - but I used Dr. Pozzi on staff at Alexian Brothers in Elk Grove. His number is ###-###-####. His group is called Personal Woman's Healthcare.
M. in Elk Grove
I go to Womancare. They have offices in Schaumburg, Palatine, Arlington Heights, etc. I have seen a number of the doctors in the practice and loved them all. I see Dr. Albion myself and have also had Dr. Goldin (a woman) deliver one of my 2 children. You will not be disappointed, I love them! Good luck!
I second Margaret with Dr. Pozzi's office. They were wonderful during my high-risk pregnancy and other issues I have had. ###-###-####. They are in Elk Grove at Alexian Brothers and have evening/Saturday hours.
Dr. Patrick Pozzi over in at Alexian Brothers in Elk Grove Village is a wonderful doctor. I have seen him for the last 4 years. The name of the place is called Personal Womens Health Care Center.
Good Morning-
I just wanted to add that I also go to Nicole and Dr. Yocky I love them, they delivered both of my boys (5 and 2yrs old). If you want someone who cares go to nicole she is the best. Good luck to you and your family

Northwest Women's Consultants in Arlington HEights! I delivered all 3 of my kids there w/in the last 4 years. They are great. I would recommend Dawn Sadowski, but ALL of the doctors are great! Hope this helps. It's an important decision! The reason I went with them was 1. My other OB/GYN stunk an have had many complaints with the staff, and 2. MOST IMPORTANTLY, they delivered my younger brother and sister almost 20 years ago. Very credible, very good!
Take care!!

Hi T., I see that a few people have recommended the Female Healthcare. I had my second baby with them. While I liked them OK, I wasn't all that crazy about them. I felt like just another patient, like a number so I switched when I got pregnant with my third.
I now see a midwife Jill Edwards. She works with Dr. Richard Mruz, they are located out of the Alexian Brothers in Elk Grove. I have seen the doctor a few times and liked him, but I absolutely love Jill the midwife. She is very nice and I feel like she really knows me and is treating me more then just like another number. They do everything in their office, which with Female Healthcare they didn't. Female healthcare, would send me for blood work, glucose testing, diabetes care and ultrasounds into different departments around the hospital. With Jill and Dr. Mruz, all the blood work, glucose, ultrasounds and everything else is done right in their office. All the nurses are great also. The other office felt a lot more mechanical and not so personal to me....
