Seeking Shopping Advice from Other Moms Whose Kids Wear Uniforms!

Hey moms! :) My 3-yr-old son will be starting at a new preschool at the end of August (he's been in in-home care up till now.) The school requires a uniform, so his only clothing choices will be navy bottoms, and polo shirts in one of five solid colors: white, baby blue, canary yellow, hunter green, or red.

I've bought everything in those colors I could find at both Kid-to-Kids near me (a total of only three shirts!) so am looking for advice from other moms whose kids wear uniforms for school. I refuse to pay the prices at Lands End (on "sale" this week they're $13 each!) Where have you moms had success in buying items like these?

My main concern is because he tends to get dirty so often (as most three-year-old boys do), he'll go through a change of clothes a day maybe, which means I need several "back ups" in the closet at all times. This is much harder than regular clothes! Will be quite a change for us all!

Thanks in advance for your help.

Try JC Penny, they usually have fairly cheap polos, and a uniform section too. Or Target has them for around $7 each. Maybe even Sears. HTH ~A.~

I know the Lands End may seem expensive but the shirts last. I've purchased several last year and the year before and my boys (who are very tough on clothes!!!) are still wearing the white ones from 2 years ago. If you want to order Lands end and want additional coupon codes let me know. I have emails from them with free shipping and 20% off.
Good luck

I feel your pain! I have twins, so double the red polos! I buy 12 Red shirts, 1 to leave at school and the rest, save me from having to do laundry during the week.

I actually buy them online at cookieskids.com. The shirts are $4-7. I usually get the pants from Old Navy or Childrens Place though. Last year Academy Sports had uniforms in toddler sizes, and the pants/shorts lasted my kids almost all year. They were still in good enough condition to sell back at the end of the year, so they may be worth checking out as well.

Good luck!
